I didn't think there was so much Physics and vector calculus (calculi?) involved in just pissing! 😱

Well, there isn't a need for physics and vector calculus in almost anything if you have the usual margin for error. Normal life is not, as they say, rocket science.

However, if one can do rocket science without trouble, then one can optimise a lot of stuff, and make tight error margin stuff work where ordinary analysis wouldn't get it to work.
My ability to do "all that science & stuff" took a lot of time, money, and energy to acquire, but it's saved me an awful lot more of all three since.

Well yeh...but taking a piss is more of an art than rocket science, and this thread is slowly turning it into one! :)) :-B

Quite, built an hexagonal dovecote. Asked, when I said I had no plans, how had done it. Trig.

Now that was a conversation killer.

When at social gatherings, I select my former occupation based upon whether I wish to speak to someone. "Physics teacher" is a great way to avoid further conversation. The weather is often the first icebreaker topic of conversation, and I find a technical explanation of the current weather e.g. "There's an occluded front just west of Ireland" is equally effective.

And then, of course, is the usual “ I used to be a Tornado fighter pilot. Show us your tits”.

Had a talk at Rotary last week by a retired AVM about a civil service job he had later. Towards the end of the talk "I was a Harrier pilot"
