Re: The US Hamster Wheel
Best description of Barack Obama ever
Jack Wheeler is a brilliant man who was the author of Reagan's strategy to break the back of the Soviet Union
with the star wars race and expose their inner weakness. For years he wrote a weekly intelligence update that was extremely interesting and well structured and informative. He consults(ed) with several mega corporations on global trends and the future, etc. He is in semi-retirement now. He is a true patriot with a no-nonsense approach to everything. He is also a somewhat well-known mountain climber and adventurer.

Written by Dr. Jack Wheeler:
The O-man, Barack Hussein Obama, is an eloquently tailored empty suit. No resume, no accomplishments, no experience, no original ideas, no understanding of how the economy works,no understanding of how the world works, no balls, nothing but abstract, empty rhetoric devoid of real substance.
He has no real identity. He is half-white, which he rejects. The rest of him is mostly Arab, which he hides but is disclosed by his non-African Arabic surname and his Arabic first and middle names as a way to triply proclaim his Arabic parentage to people in Kenya . Only a small part of him is African Black from his Luo grandmother, which he pretends he is exclusively.
What he isn't, not a genetic drop of, is 'African-American,' the descendant of enslaved Africans brought to America chained in slave ships. He hasn't a single ancestor who was a slave. Instead, his Arab ancestors were slave owners. Slave-trading was the main Arab business in East Africa for centuries until the British ended it.
Let that sink in: Obama is not the descendant of slaves, he is the descendant of slave owners. Thus he makes the perfect Liberal Messiah.
It's something Hillary doesn't understand - how some complete neophyte came out of the blue and stole the Dem nomination from her. Obamamania is beyond politics and reason. It is a true religious cult, whose adherents reject Christianity yet still believe in Original Sin, transferring it from the evil of being human to the evil of being white.
Thus Obama has become the white liberals' Christ, offering absolution from the Sin of Being White. There is no reason or logic behind it, no faults or flaws of his can diminish it, no arguments Hillary could make of any kind can be effective against it. The absurdity of Hypocrisy Clothed In Human Flesh being their Savior is all the more cause for liberals to worship him: Credo quia absurdum, I believe it because it is absurd.
Thank heavens that the voting majority of Americans remain Christian and are in no desperate need of a phony savior.
He is ridiculous and should not be taken seriously by any thinking American.
And yet he got elected, not once but twice. Thanks to those that did not think it was important to vote for freedom and those that were willing to give up their freedoms for entitlements.
Remember you don't have to be on a southern plantation to be a slave, if you are dependent on government entitlements you just have a different slave owner.
Re: The US Hamster Wheel
Jack Wheeler was a brilliant man? Really? Mr Brilliant closed his loosely reasoned screed with a comma splice. If that is brilliance then gag me with a spoon. (I can find no record of Mr Wheeler having been awarded a doctorate, so why the title?)
For one thing, this goofy category, African-American, does not require ancestors who had been enslaved in order to belong. That's about like saying that you can't be Irish-American unless your ancestors migrated during the Great Hunger. We even have white people who are African-American, such as that putz who was big in Black Lives Matter, Shaun King. (If his momma had only known how to spell "Sean" then he'd probably have claimed to be Irish-American instead.)
To have claimed that "the voting majority of Americans remain Christian" makes me wonder two things: How did Jack Wheeler know this for a fact, and what in the world was he thinking about there, given that one of our founding principles is the separation of Church and State? Were we still running some sort of "Christians only" club here, like some huge NJA country club?
I agree that Obama has his flaws, ones many liberals are blind to, but Obama as Messiah? You should have stuck to playing with your sentences, Jack, and left theology to the theologians.

Re: The US Hamster Wheel
The title is presumably because he was a juris doctor of law at Yale.
Re: The US Hamster Wheel
Here is what the Economist has to say:
"But if potential clients don’t know that JD degrees denote doctors of law, any use of Dr without an MD or PhD degree could be misleading. More important, calling lawyers doctors is silly and pedantic. Some argue that lawyers don’t “deserve” the title of doctor because their course of study is shorter and less rigorous than those of physicians or academics—or even SJD (doctor of juridical science) recipients. That misses the point. American lawyers are indeed a sort of doctor by degree, but the title Dr carries a specific meaning that is common and well-understood. The title Esq (esquire), if a bit stuffy, does the job without misleading anyone. Ethics boards might be flexible, but common sense is less so." http://www.economist.com/blogs/johnson/ ... nal-titles
According to the usual custom this fellow should be referred to as Mr. Jack Wheeler, Esq., showing that he held a law degree. "Dr. Jack Wheeler" leads one to think that he held a PhD.
Confusingly, though, there are two Jack Wheelers! One is the fellow who served on Reagan's staff, Mr Jack Wheeler Esq, when he seems to have mainly been involved with the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, not with Star Wars and the Reagan Doctrine. That Mr Wheeler died in December of 2010, the victim of an unsolved attack. In the version presented here, though, which seems at first to have been written by that Jack Wheeler, we can read "And yet [Obama] got elected, not once but twice."
Someone or other must have re-worked the original article to read this way, adding that comma splice, since both elections were in the future when the article originally was published in June of 2008. Here is an original version:
The O-man, Barack Hussein Obama, is an eloquently tailored empty suit. No resume, no accomplishments, no experience, no original ideas, no understanding of how the economy works, no understanding of how the world works, no guts, nothing but abstract, empty rhetoric devoid of real substance.

His candidacy is ridiculous and should not be taken seriously by any thinking American. Pass this on to every thinking American you know! http://canadafreepress.com/article/the- ... empty-suit
There is also a Dr Jack Wheeler PhD. He is a noted adventurer, and some kind of God-bothering, Right-wing wacko, and he is still alive: http://www.tothepointnews.com/learn-mor ... the-point/ He seems to be the Dr. Jack Wheeler who wrote that article, while Mr Wheeler, the other Wheeler, also somewhat well-known, is the one referred to in Wikipedia, the one who actually worked with the Reagan administration, and the one with the Juris Doctor from Yale; there we had the wrong man, seemingly, thrown off by the reference to Reagan, and by the similarity of the two names.
As you can see by reading the original version, Dr Wheeler was no more prescient in mid-2008 about Obama being elected twice than most liberals were about Trump now having been elected at least once. As well, Dr Wheeler was putting not a little of his bigotry on show by getting into what Obama is and is not, and also by giving premature thanks (on what factual basis?) for the fact that most Americans "remain Christian."
Given that Obama was soon elected twice by those same Americans, it's surprising that the brilliant Dr Wheeler did not burst into print yet again to denounce them for having "reject[ed] Christianity" by twice electing Obama. Did he retreat into a sulky silence at that point? No, obviously not, but I guess he did recover from his fever dream of mostly Christian America rejecting this false Messiah.

Re: The US Hamster Wheel
Let's see, who was it that was going on about the good works and wholesomeness of the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI)?
Well, funny enough, since Clinton lost the election, donations to the CGI have dried up to the point where it will be shut down this year.
Now, I ask a simple question. If they were doing such good, why would governments suddenly drop their donations once Clinton lost the election?
Could it possibly be that instead of a charitable organization, the CGI was simply an old fashioned, influence-peddling racket?

I see the protestors in Washington are getting a bit violent and smashing things up and he hadn't even been sworn in yet.
Another show of some not accepting democracy if it's not what they want.
Typical hypocrites.

The 45th. President made a reasonable and measured address to the nation, and it seems to have been well received, other of course than by the bad losers. The Obama woman stood and looked as if she had a bad smell under her nose while he was speaking.
It will be interesting to see how the next few years pan out.

He lost the popular vote by a lot and won the election. We should have a revolution in this country! The phoney electoral college made a laughing stock out of our nation. The loser one!
We can't let this happen. We should march on Washington and stop this travesty. Our nation is totally divided! Lets fight like hell and stop this great and disgusting injustice! The world is laughing at us. More votes equals a loss...revolution! This election is a total sham and a travesty. We are not a democracy!
Our country is now in serious and unprecedented trouble...like never before. The electoral college is a disaster for a democracy.

Then why have you stuck with it for so long ?
It's only no good now that you didn't get what you wanted ?
Re Divided, er, Trump didn't divide the nation, the last 8 years did that. so give Trump a chance to fix it.
Re: The US Hamster Wheel
Presumably most of you USAmericans thought that the Electoral College system was fair and democratic, otherwise your great democracy would have allowed you to do something about it. You didn't even protest, as long as it delivered the results you wanted.
Now, all of a sudden, that system that you accepted for so long has delivered a result that you neither wanted nor expected, and you're all bitter and twisted.
I think that's a pretty good definition of being bad losers!

Bad Losers.
I think over the last year we have seen just how bad the losers are when they don't get the result
they want or expected.
Re the divided, it was a US Commentator who said it on the radio and it is very true, Trump didn't create the division.

Another Yank requiring an education.
Hillary won the popular vote by some 3.5M votes... Seems fair... But wait. This is a nation made up of 50 sovereign states each of which should have a say - you know, like the way the Senate is made up of 100 Senators, two from each state. Well, Hillary won California with 4.3M votes. Impressive. But when you take California out of the numbers Donald won the popular vote by 1.4M votes...
And there, dear simpleton, lies the genius of the Electoral College placed there precisely to prevent a state such as California from denying the will of the remaining states.
No need to thank me...

Actually the Electoral College was specifically placed by our prescient forefathers, who knew full well that Russia would one day try to drive the result their way by electronic sabotage. Having 50 separate elections makes that task much more difficult.

I still think he may prove to be a better President than most people fear.
