G-CPTN (and anyone else with the same problem)
I will post the text of RT.com stuff if it bears a read, but this one doesn't say anything more than my one line summary.
Do let me know if there are any other sites you can't access, and I'll do the same.

I may be out of date with the latest news but I see that the US will be supplying HIMARS M30A1 missiles to Ukraine. Nasty piece of kit, contains 180,000 titanium balls that are air delivered in an airburst. Predicted saturation of 4 balls per human sized target over the area of a US football field.
Perhaps the Russian troops will not get bored this winter as we anticipated.

Re: Millions of us might be **** if we ignore the Russian-Ukraine war
Mis-translation, apparently.
Strikes not called for.
Zelenskyi is probably as corrupt and incapable as every other western leader.
But he's stepped up to the plate in the time of crisis, and he's letting those in Ukraine who do know what they are doing get on with it, whilst he gets the international help needed.
And he's a very good comedian. He's making the Russian Armed Forces look like a total joke!
Although, to be fair, they are doing a pretty good job on their own.
And he isn't a genocidal psychopath, unlike putin.
Remind me, how's the war going?

Re: Millions of us might be **** if we ignore the Russian-Ukraine war
So it would appear! Fox3; Think you mentioned a few posts back that the Ivans do not load supplies/ammo etc on pallets but load each truck by hand, or something like that. This I find somewhat amazing!!He's making the Russian Armed Forces look like a total joke!
Although, to be fair, they are doing a pretty good job on their own.
There was also a comment from someone, possibly not even on this forum that quite a lot of the Ivan's munitions are quite old and may misfire. One can hope so, but if so, it shows a remarkable lack of forward planning!
I've still got some 70 year old .303 Ammo which still goes off when the trigger is pulled! Just wonder what the quality control is like in any Russian Muntions plant.

Re: Millions of us might be **** if we ignore the Russian-Ukraine war
Pinky,
Usually the problem with ammunition is the primer, especially if a whole box starts failing. There are basically two mechanical styles of primer designs and they both work, the problem is the chemical composition of the primers, some of it deteriorates faster than others. Once upon a time in the US some anti-gunner actually proposed that civilian ammunition be loaded with deliberately short lived primers to prevent people hoarding large quantities of ammunition.
I can see that in a military situation, where old ammo. is usually disposed of during training, some of it could easily get time expired. By the way, be careful with old military ammunition because the primer combustion residues are corrosive and will attack the barrel unless you clean after each firing. This is true of old 303 military rounds. I know old Russian ammo. is the same so heaven knows what the insides of some of those old AKs look like. Perhaps corroded internals is the real problem rather than the ammunition.

Many videos on Telegram and elsewhere showing severe damage to the Kerch bridge.

Re: Millions of us might be **** if we ignore the Russian-Ukraine war
More than well aware of that boing. Also the bit about the primers. I've been reloading my own for over 40 years! I just wonder at times how the Aussie manufactured 303 ammo (headstamps MF, MG, MH, MJ, MW) stays quite serviceable even many years after manufacture, whereas some of the Pommy stuff (particulary Radway Green ) produced both hangfires and misfires even though it was of a more recent manufacture than the Aussie stuff!old military ammunition because the primer combustion residues are corrosive and will attack the barrel unless you clean after each firing. This is true of old 303 military rounds.

Looks like the road bridge part has completely collapsed, presumably by falling debris caused by that very careless accident with those matches? Video of the bridge.
This means it will be rather difficult for all those lovely Russian holiday makers in Crimea to get home

Re: Millions of us might be **** if we ignore the Russian-Ukraine war
I refer the Honorable gentlemen to the answer I gave some moments before
RT is reporting that a truck on the roadway exploded.
Repair access should be OK because of the intact roadway. Time to fix - don't know. They can probably get single lane military truck access going quite quickly, however the railroad is the preferred Rooskie means of shifting stuff.
The biggest problem of the lot, if the Ukes had something to do with it, is how do they stop it happening again? Delays and checks will slow things up drastically.
Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY VLAD!!
Best I can tell, one of the two roadways is down in two places (two sections in one place, one in the second, there's an intact-looking section between), one has superficial damage, and the railroad has a partly burnt out, presumably empty, fuel train on it.The questions are....
4) Can the Kerch Bridge be taken out?
Don't know. Would be really great if it could.

Re: Millions of us might be **** if we ignore the Russian-Ukraine war
Initial assessment - the Kerch bridge is out just at the time when the beleaguered Rooskies in Kherson need it most.
The Russians will be looking to get the old transit ferry, which has good rail and road links, going from Kerch to just 10 miles across the Strait at Port Kavkaz.
However, the main supply route for the next critical couple of weeks at least is the rail route down through Zaporozhia, through the key town of Tokmak I mentioned in my suggested Ukrainian attack plan a while back.
Now would be an excellent time to hit, say, a fuel or ammunition train passing along that rail line. It's only 25 miles from the front lines - well within HIMARS range.

More, and I think a little better, here:
I would suggest keeping up with the International Observers Union twitter feed today, as they seem to have the best stuff.
I am not certain it was a truck explosion that was the primary cause, especially because the bridge went down in two places.

Wow! That was some accident with matches. I could have sworn the road was hit, but our reliable Russian sources say it was a train accident. Unfortunate if you were in those vehicles............... Golly, somebody could be hurt, for heaven's sake

Kerch bridge traffic, then and now
Some statistics about the capacity of Crimean bridge.
Average per day:
~15,000 nyet vehicles;
~160 nada passenger buses;
~860 zip trucks;
~3-4 "not as such, Sir" passenger trains;
~12 pairs "Not much call for them here" freight trains;
~36 100 tons "Oh, no, no, no, no, no" cargo in total
