Coronabollocks..
Re: Coronabollocks..
How do they determine 'contact'?
Son was identified after a visit to London, subsequently quarantined without symptoms.
He had already received one injection, whilst his wife (who was with him in London, but not pinged) had had both.

Similar to drawing lottery numbers, for further details contact Dido Harding on BMs stamp.
When all else fails, read the instructions.

Son is keeping his fingers crossed as they approach the end of term for his boys - his youngest is looking forward to the end-of-term activities as he prepares to leave primary school and hoping that 'bubbles' will not be sent home.

Re: Coronabollocks..
G CPTN, did she have her phone with her? Was it blue tooth enabled?
Given that the contact is wholly anonymous it could have been anywhere. Given that they must have been within Bluetooth range AND remained in range for 15 minutes that sort of suggests public transport, closed event such as a restaurant, or a box at Wimbledon.
Just what is Bluetooth range? I have some Bluetooth trackers, one has a transmit range of 400 feet. My phone can receive at that distance. When close the device will sound off. Not sure how far that handshake distance is.

Re: Coronabollocks..
How to create a scariant in 10 easy steps (and ensure it hits the UK really hard);
1) Learn a basic fact of virology. There are hundreds of thousands of variants of Covid-19, many yet to be discovered.
2) Realise that it's normal for some of these to better at spreading than others, but that a terrified population doesn't understand this.
3) Find one and give it a name.
HOT TIP: A good idea is to name it after a country with a struggling health system where you can easily get footage of swamped hospitals.
India is a great example: though the country was well down the list of countries worst affected by Covid-19, its overstretched health system provided the perfect images for international TV.
4) Call yourself an expert.
HOT TIP: It helps if you have the title "Professor". It means you don't need any actual qualifications in medicine, virology or epidemiology to be given an uncritical platform by broadcasters.
5) Ensure that your friends in OfCom have told the broadcaster that they are not allowed to report any data or expert who might suggest that you are scaremongering.
6) Announce that you have found a dangerous new variant: your SCARIANT.
7) Express your fear that the vaccine may be less effective against it: don't worry if there's no evidence.
Bonus Point: Your friends in the pharmaceutical industry will happily promise to come up with special variant jabs.
8) Use all the tricks of behavioural science to terrify people so they can't think straight.
9) Do more testing for variants than most of the rest of the world combined, ensuring that there's plenty of evidence of your scariant spreading in the UK.
IMPORTANT! Start work on the next scariant ASAP! Don't give people time to see that the first one didn't amount to anything.
10) Job done!
Congratulations, you've scared the population witless, prolonged the crisis in the NHS, devastated more businesses, worsened the growing mental health crisis, stopped international travel, harmed the development of millions of children, kept broadcast restrictions and curbs on freedom of speech place and guaranteed that normal life will not resume.
Now, basking in the self-ignited glow of your ingenuity, go don that face nappy and stay 'X' metres/feet/lightyears away from other humans to indicate you are not a hypocrite, unlike those at the Cornwall G7 jamboree and other well-publicised examples of "don't do as I do, do as I say..."

Out of interest, how many cases resulted from the G7 in Cornwall?

Re: Coronabollocks..
Not a joke. Toilet cubicals also closed at random for same reason, and all except one lift closed for "prevention of Covid" thus ensuring shoppers are packed into using the one remaining lift. (The mega DIY LeRoy Merlin, Girona, today)

At #4751 BM gives 10 steps about Scariant. There is support for this in the Telegraph
Clearly based on medical fact.NOT wearing a mask is a “moral” choice in solidarity with children and disabled people, a government scientist has insisted amid warnings of a new culture war erupting over face coverings.

For this we’re still not allowed our freedoms
According to latest figures reported through Public Health England's Covid dashboard as of last night, Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, has eight patients in hospital and none on a ventilator.
The trust overseas Wexham Park Hospital in Slough, Heatherwood in Ascot and Frimley Park.
When all else fails, read the instructions.

Re: Coronabollocks..
From the above
Yesterday a total of 309 doses were administered and of those 165 were first doses.
As an aside, the population of the district in 2018 was given as 142,000.
Of those awaiting 2nd doses there are 37,000 and only 144 vaccines yesterday.
What could possibly go wrong?
In our District we have 120,000 adults (allegedly) and an above average 87.2% have been vaccinated. Thus almost 15,000 adults have not been vaccinated. The majority of infections will be in younger people who are not fully vaccinated. But what happens in the real world is far from clear because of important uncertainties, not least in vaccination rates, coverage, and people’s behaviour relating to mixing and taking precautions after 19 July
