G CPTN, as you corrected in my stats yesterday I made the distinction between the numbers of adults and the number of people. I deduced the number of adults from the numbers jabbed and the percentage that those jabbed represented.

Imagine - not impossible - that you have children about to turn 18.

Not yet old enough to receive vaccination yet achieving majority this summer.

What rules apply for foreign travel?

I ask because, apparently, France considers children over the age of 12 to be suitable for vaccination.

Quote from our local Hospital Trust Website.
If you've been invited to book because you're turning 18 soon, please book your 1st dose vaccination on or after your 18th birthday.
So not much clearer.
When all else fails, read the instructions.

Au contraire, no time for second jab, never mind weeks/months afterwards.

Bollocks Bollocks & Bollocks ! !

There now follows Something Completely Different. Though I am clinically alive and NOT suffering ‘long Covid1984’ resulting from my encounter with a Scariant earlier this year, I would imagine I’m watching an archived episode of “Monty Python”.

But alas not, so just before the Pig Dictator rolls back on his promise that July 19th will be the end of this dreadful damaging farce, have a look at these performances from the archives and get those face nappies rolling off the sewing machine, ‘cos we’re following “The Science” whatever that is in the 21st Century;

Of course, because it’s YouTube and even though it is/was the official Party line, don’t expect it to remain viewable beyond pub closing time, whenever that is these days in whatever province of the ‘UK’ you may be unfortunate enough to reside?!?! X(

I have just received a notification from the UK Government that Spain is no longer on the list of countries to which travel is not advised. This despite soaring infection rates in Spain, ICU occupancy increasing, and restrictions in place from July 10th on public gatherings, bars and restaurant opening hours, and France and Germany advising now against travel to Spain, and Spain being on Belgium's Red List. Are the members of HMG a bunch of expletive-deleted idiots led by a buffoon who has no idea what he's doing? (Answer not required).

As the situation on the ground in España seems to be at odds with the publicised information, does anyone know the true situation in France?

Son is married to a French girl and is planning to travel by car via Paris (inlaws) to their gîte in the Ardeche for the summer holiday.

Why the discrepancy?
They died of COVID.
Because they stand on the wall and say "nothing's gonna hurt you tonight, not on my watch".

And in the joke section
Baroness Harding said she was “proud” of her contribution to the highly criticised organisation, arguing it had had a “material impact” on infections.

An ally of former health secretary Matt Hancock, her comments prompted derision from MPs on the public accounts committee, who accused her of spending “eye-watering amounts of money” with little effect on the course of the pandemic.

Situation in France is excellent. Very low levels of Covid. And still not a single case of mad cow disease.

You appear to have not counted Monseur Le President, named after the Italian sports wear manufacturer, Macron, in these figures, OFSO.

No no, that's MPD, or Mad President Disease. I believe the USA recently also had a case. Not to be confused with MPMD or Mad Prime Minister Disease.

My nephew, a squeezyjet pilot and partner and based in Nice, both under 30, are fully vaccinated. No problems as there was little take up by the ffrench. He is now back on a full schedule.
