Post Brexit UK should have been tax free, unless you mean it was paid in UK for duty.

I bought a device from Germany in January, ie Post Brexit and it came UK VAT paid.
This month a replacement ALDI part from Germany and they got stung for tax. When I demanded a second item they said too expensive and gave me £10 compensation in lieu.

The Spanish refer to it as Tax but it is VAT.

One EU wide rule but only applied by the Spanish is IVA or cruise ships. The EU permits States to charge national VAT on Cruise ships in territorial waters. In practise duty free shops would shut in port but all drink sales remained duty free.
The Spanish however insisted that IVA be applied on all sales. If the ship was Spanish ported then IVA was levied on all sales on the voyage. Technically it also applied to UK ships cruising between Spanish ports but they ignored it.

On the cruise ships it used to be 7% and the increased to 8%. Under EU rules it can only go up. Over 15% it can come down.

Had to pay 32% tax on a £100 value package sent by DHL from the UK. Argued, did no good. There is no longer a system for it being paid in one country or the other, and Spain being a nation of legalised thieves and robbers they do what they like. OTOH we now use amazon.es. The Prime fee is much less than the UK and delivery is by the Correus, when they can be bothered.

A Ohio judge ordered a hospital to give the horse drug ivermectin to a Covid-19 patient last month despite the doctors’ protest.

The Butler County judge said in an Aug. 23 ruling that West Chester Hospital must fulfill the patient's wife's request and administer the drug prescribed to Jeffrey Smith, 51, by a doctor unaffiliated with the hospital.

Ivermectin is a drug primarily used to deworm animals and has become the latest false cure for Covid-19. The FDA has not approved it and actively discourages its use to treat Covid-19 in humans.

Jeffrey Smith, of Hamilton, Ohio, tested positive for Covid-19 on July 9 and was admitted to the hospital in West Chester Township on July 15, the lawsuit his wife, Julie Smith, brought against the hospital said. On Aug. 1, Jeffrey Smith was intubated and placed on a ventilator. His condition worsened on Aug. 3 after his sedation drug ran out, which caused him to wake up and “rip the air tube out of his esophagus, disturbing and/or breaking the feeding tube, which caused food particles and toxins to escape into his lungs,” the complaint alleged.

By Aug. 19, Jeffrey Smith’s chances of survival dropped below 30 percent and the hospital had "exhausted its course of treatment and Covid-19 protocol in treating Jeffrey," the complaint said.

Julie Smith, looking for treatments to save her husband, requested the hospital administer ivermectin, which was prescribed to her husband by Fred Wagshul, an Ohio doctor who told the Ohio Capital Journal it was akin to “genocide” to not use the drug in Covid-19 treatment.

West Chester Hospital refused to administer the drug. The hospital declined to comment to NBC News, saying it could not speak on patient care.

Julie Smith sought a declaratory judgment demanding the hospital follow her request, and the judge fulfilled her request.

Julie Smith could not be reached for comment. Her lawyer Jonathan Davidson declined to comment in an email and said "Mrs. Smith has asked to keep any/all details of her husband’s medical status private." Wagshul also could not be reached. Jeffrey Smith’s vaccination status was not disclosed by his family or their lawyers.

On Tuesday, Davidson told The Washington Post that Jeffrey Smith is alive but did not elaborate on his condition. He will be on the ivermectin treatment for three weeks. (Whether he lives or not)

Chloe Mrozak of Oak Lawn, Illinois, was arrested as she attempted to depart Honolulu airport to return to the U.S. mainland.
An Illinois woman was charged Monday with two misdemeanors in Hawaii for allegedly using a fake vaccine card to bypass the state's coronavirus testing and quarantine requirements.

Chloe Mrozak, 24, of Oak Lawn, Illinois, was arrested Saturday at the Honolulu airport as she attempted to board a flight to the U.S. mainland after a five-day stay in Hawaii.

The state's Covid regulations require a "mandatory self-quarantine which begins from the day of entry and lasts ten days or the duration of the person’s presence in the state, whichever is shorter," the charges state.

When state investigators checked Mrozak's vaccine record, they found her vaccination card contained a misspelling of the vaccine manufacturer Moderna, which was written as "Maderna."

State investigators couldn't find Mrozak at her listed hotel after receiving a tip from airport staff that she may have used fake vaccination papers. When they contacted her vaccine location, listed as "Delaware," they found no record of her receiving any coronavirus vaccine in the state.

According to charges filed Monday in Hawaii, Mrozak now faces two misdemeanors in violation of Gov. David Ige's Emergency Proclamation — one for allegedly uploading a "falsified document" to the state's Covid-19 vaccination system and another for allegedly failing to complete her mandatory 10-day self-quarantine after arriving in the state.

Wilson Lau, a special agent with the Hawaii attorney general’s investigation division, was unable to establish contact with Mrozak at a Honolulu hotel, so he searched for her on Facebook, identifying a “distinctive tattoo on her left hip area.”

The hip tattoo is what helped investigators identify her at the airport and arrest Mrozak at the airport as she attempted to leave the state.

James Tabe, a Hawaii public defender whose office is representing Mrozak, did not immediately respond to NBC News' request for comment.

In a statement to NBC News, Gary H. Yamashiroya, special assistant to Hawaii's Attorney General, said his department is ""committed to vigorous enforcement of the Governor’s Emergency Proclamation."

Yamashiroya said that Mrozak had a court appearance today and is scheduled to appear again via Zoom on Sept. 22.

"Everyone should know that falsified CDC cards are a federal offense and in Hawaii, using falsified proof of testing or vaccination documents for travel into the state is a misdemeanor that carries a fine of up to $5,000 and/or imprisonment of up to one year for each count," Yamashiroya said.

"Our department will prosecute these crimes to the fullest extent provided by the law."

The Daily Mail, as ever, writes absolute twaddle, unless, of course, Mrozak had stripped off upon arrival, that particular verse would have remained, mercifully, hidden. She was recognised for the huge colourful tatto on her thigh, or her plunging neckline. I am becoming a real Mrozak expert...

All the governments down here are funding the vaccine roll outs and are vaccinating citizens, residents, southern African's and even illegals. Also it seems anyone else just popping by...
