Why 'unwanted' ? I suspect most people are like me: 'dont care either way' irrespective of my opinion of Trump. And what are you protesting about, old chap ? Care to enlighten us ?
Re: Chaos ( hopefully ) in London and the South East.
If those people who choose to fund their own medical care, either directly or through medical insurance, reduce the pressures on the NHS it must be better for the rest of us. Anybody can see that.
Most minor operations cost less than a packaged holiday, makes perfect sense to encourage people through tax incentives to fund their own care at this level.
Mr Trump is making the most disparaging remarks about Citizen Khan this morning, good on him, prepared to say what he thinks, no wonder the lefties can't stand him.

Mr Trump has tweeted.
As the president approached the UK, he tweeted: "Sadiq Khan, who by all accounts has done a terrible job as Mayor of London, has been foolishly “nasty” to the visiting President of the United States, by far the most important ally of the United Kingdom. "He is a stone cold loser who should focus on crime in London, not me......"
As Air Force One made its descent, Mr Trump continued: "Kahn reminds me very much of our very dumb and incompetent Mayor of NYC, de Blasio, who has also done a terrible job - only half his height.
"In any event, I look forward to being a great friend to the United Kingdom, and am looking very much forward to my visit. Landing now!"

But this is 'Queue Jumping' and buying privilege.
Both seen as abhorrent by the Left.
Cynicism improves with age

"Oi, there's a demo. Let's go and protest."Why 'unwanted' ? I suspect most people are like me: 'dont care either way' irrespective of my opinion of Trump. And what are you protesting about, old chap ? Care to enlighten us ?
"Wot's it about?"
"Dunno, it's a demo, let's go and protest."
"Yeah man, cool."
I'm in favour of Trump's visit, more so since he has spoken out against Sillidick Khan, under whose tenure London has continued its decline, saying : "He is a stone cold loser who should focus on crime in London, not me".
Mocking a visiting head of state by allowing, or rather encouraging, denigratory images of him to be displayed in public should be an offence. (I would have made an exception for Robbing Mugape or Jacob Zuma.)
Correct, why should we care about people who are too improvident to make provisions for their old age or for becoming ill, and who prefer to spend money on 68" TVs with Sky subscriptions, cheap lager, cigarettes, package holidays to Tosser del Mar, Hello Magazine ... etc.although most of you probably have your own private medical care anyway, so are unlikely to worry about the millions who don't.
be better still if we didn't have the option in the first place.....
More bloody socialist *****, depriving people of freedom of choice, dragging everyone down to the same level of deprivation.

They have a point. However my wife needed an Op. The surgeon who would have done it left the NHS Trust. No date given. She then went Private. The NHS Surgeon returned but she was not on the list. She then got an NHS appointment at the same hospital as the one she was scheduled for the private one.
The private op went ahead as scheduled. The NHS appointment could have slipped.
It is as much management as queue jumping.

Re: Chaos ( hopefully ) in London and the South East.
I've paid for private medical insurance and long term care all my life - it was and is mandatory in my job - currently premium is £156 a month or 8% of my pension. In so doing I am freeing up two places on the NHS for less fortunate people. What a bent philosophy Socialism is when proponents then complain of privilege !
Re: Chaos ( hopefully ) in London and the South East.
I would remove the £156 or the 8% from the post before our resident Marxist does some arithmetic and tells you how to better spend your money.

So long as he can enjoy his free treatment on the NHS I'm happy. Stop him whinging (or reduce rather than stop.)
Seriously, most people have no idea what medical care, even 'adequate' rather than 'best', actually costs. For realism, look at your vetinary bills.

Not really Ian. I know English famiies in Spain who get their treatment from the CAP and have no idea of private treatment costs. But the Spanish .national Health is now pretty nesr bankrupt and is presenting bills for so-called extras to people they formally treated for free. (Source:My wife's doctor). Horrified faces all round.

This may come as a major shock, but, from experience I would say that at the demo's I have attended, all those participating knew precisely why they were there.Capetonian wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2019 9:23 am"Oi, there's a demo. And it's intriguing to read about your support for Trump, whilst happily denigrating Khan, using the same level of immaturity as displayed by your hero.
Presumably you feel it's perfectly acceptable for the third most influential man in the world, currently the recipient of a full State visit ( thanks to Treeza ) to tweet the remarks he did about the Mayor of his host City.
The NHS is a perennial argument and, for the moment, I'll choose to ignore the comments made about the so called benefits of private medical care in the UK.......... anything more complicated than kgs to litres, or reverse, is about my limit, and don't even mention something called SG in those warm places..nightmare !..so the figures kindly provided by OFSO are way above my interlect.
Finally, one can only hope Trump has been given guidance as to the use of cutlery .....given his dietary preferences .
Re: Chaos ( hopefully ) in London and the South East.
As this was in retort to the comments made by Citizen Khan yesterday likening Mr Trump to 20th century fascists, those you may remember were Hitler, Franco and Mussolini, in fact Mr Trump was, in my opinion, most restrained.Presumably you feel it's perfectly acceptable for the third most influential man in the world, currently the recipient of a full State visit ( thanks to Treeza ) to tweet the remarks he did about the Mayor of his host City.
You can't argue the point that London is the most violent city in the civilised world, it's citizens being murdered on a daily basis, Mr Trump is merely observing that the absolute refusal of the Mayor to condone or take action against the black youths carrying out the violence demonstrates that the Mayor is not doing his job properly.
But we know that, using money that could well be used for policing to carry out anti British firework displays is a fine example of that, why the population vote him in I don't know, is it because London is no longer an English city as John Cleese claims?
Re: Chaos ( hopefully ) in London and the South East.
The real big baby in London this week is Mayor Khan - a petty little pipsqueak who'd shamefully rather mock and humiliate the President of Britain's greatest ally than honor the D-Day heroes of both our nations
Re: Chaos ( hopefully ) in London and the South East.
The really laughable part - and probably the reason why the left are getting increasingly insanely enraged - is that the centre right is winning all over the world. There are outliers of course, like NZ, but they’ll probably end in tears when the citizens see their countries going backwards against the tide.

I watched coverage of President Trump's arrival and royal reception at Buckingham Palace today. Greatly impressed by the ceremonial welcome - truly majestic. No one does it like the Brits!

I thought anything right of the BBC is Far Right, according to the BBC anyway
It's a wonder that Amazon or the Royal Mail has time to deliver anything other than the tens of millions of swastika flags and SS daggers they must be shipping daily.
Re: Chaos ( hopefully ) in London and the South East.
Oh yes, we’re all racists and closet Nazis. As I was only saying to that nice Doctor Mengele the other day, hope the twins are getting better and they enjoy the rally. And say what you like about Adolf, at least he was kind to animals (I’m sure it was a dreadful mistake when he shot Blondie - probably mistook it for a Guardian reader).
Re: Chaos ( hopefully ) in London and the South East.
On 29 April 1945, Hitler expressed doubts about the cyanide capsules he had received through Heinrich Himmler's SS.
To verify the capsules' potency, Hitler ordered Dr. Werner Haase to test one on Blondi, who died as a result.
