Maybe you should run for councilor and clean up their act mate. You're a naturilised Australian so if they scream blue murder you're a conservative white Brit (with intelligence) you can always pull out the racist victim card. Always a winner in Oz.

I've found globally that people who live out in the sticks and away from cities are more conservative and have much higher degrees of character and integrity. You should be ok with running.

The Shire is under official Government investigation at the mo with the report due in September. Expecting some criminal charges to ensue.

My brother in law, and best friend in Oz, serves as a councilor in the North Adelaide suburbs. He is also the executive director of the local footie club/community center, which involves the Aussie rules football team (with paid players), and the cricket team, a thriving restaurant, open all day, two bars, and a slot casino with about 50 machines. His day job is working as a welder/painter at the local shipyard. He's an incredibly busy man. Unless he ignores his constantly ringing cell phone there's no use spending any time with him. He's a labor man and I am an (Australian) liberal, and we can have excellent and extended conversations about the political state of things.

One of the virtues I admire about him is that, as councilor, he focused on the need for a renewal of a shopping district in Salisbury, it was thriving but had a severe parking shortage and needed a cosmetic renewal. He's still working on it, but I could perceive his commitment to his project and his perception of the factors weighing on getting something done. His objectives seemed quite reasonable and worthy to me. He's been re-elected with a huge majority.

Another thing I admire him for is that he has raised 5 children and is fostering a 6th, a troubled 10 year old offspring of a drug addicted single mom, who was taken as a ward of the state and luckily found a zone in David's home. His other 5 kid's have all turned out perfectly, no drugs, good jobs, excellent athletes (one a pro Aussie Rules football player). The only fault I can find with them is that all except two have tattoos, including some they can't hide. They get them at Bali, where the whole family goes every year.

Can anybody figure this question out? I see they have got "wink", I would have thought "wank" would be relevant.
