boac, I did stay to the end of the film as I had no need to chase a bus, so I know how this transatlantic cruise ended; :(

Anyone care to nominate any practising politician, anywhere on Earth, as being worth voting for?

Judging from MSM allegations there are quite a few weapons with adequate stocks of ammo’ being readied for the ‘celebrations’ by both the Far-Right nutters and the BLM faction(s) so the ‘victory’ firework displays will be impressive.

Oops, I’ve strayed into the wrong thread, I shudha posted this in the ‘Chaos in USA’ thread but heyho, who’s perfect? :-ss

Those who are stocking up on firearms (not weapons) Are doing so in anticipation of the losing side starting to loot and riot. I will let you decide who that might be.

As far as I can see, today it is usually the case of voting against the worst candidate, rather than for the best one.
Sadly, it's been that way for a long time. Sometimes it's voting for the least worst party rather than least worst candidate.

It is the responsibility of a political party to produce a good candidate. Neither has done so. Hence I would not have voted in the US elections as I consider each candidate for president equally hopeless.

I'm perplexed as to why no one seems to be calling Trump out for wanting to deny Americans democratic right to participate in the Republic, by calling to deny their vote???

Postal voting isn't new is it? In Estonia, a country I would imagine a great deal of US Citizens could not even point to on a map, they vote in real time via the internet

The president makes baseless claims of fraud and says he will launch a Supreme Court challenge even though millions of votes are still to be counted
That was quick. I don't know how the BBC is so certain that the claims are false (headline) or baseless. That surely is for the Courts to decide.

But the Internet was not in existence when the US set up its procedures. Indeed telephones or railway weren't invented either.

It was the Donald that made the claim :-o
Despite the huge outstanding uncertainty, Trump held a victory party on Tuesday night and said at the White House: 'Frankly we did win this election. We want all voting to stop. We don't want them to find any ballots at four in the morning and add them to the list.'

He railed that the election had not been called already by TV networks and the press – although that is not their role. Trump then threatened a legal challenge – without explaining how - saying he was going to go to the Supreme Court.

Even Republicans called his remarks 'distressing' and shocking.
When all else fails, read the instructions.

A weapon can be anything one uses with intent to assault. A knife, a brick, baseball bat, and of course firearms, but only when the intent is to attack. In the context of self defense it is not a weapon.

Also, voting by mail, if you expressly request a ballot is legitimate. What is not legitimate, and in question here, is that ballots were mailed out unsolicited, even to dead people (which is nothing new for democrats, especially in Chicago, where they vote en masse).

The man is a babbling buffoon what with him winning despite what the "Poles" said! Questions are being asked in Warsaw as we speak. =))

As more vote counting is being accomplished, it appears that key states are trending toward Biden.
In light of Trump's (premature) declaration of victory, I not only fear his temper tantrum and associated bad acts but I fear what he will do when the realization of his lame duck status sinks in (if it ever does).
