Right! You need to perk up the outrage a bit, since that thread has slipped onto page 6 of the site below ''Chaos in France'.

Not outrage this time, just speculation on the willy-waving competition which is the final round of ‘negotiations’ with our former partners in the EEC.

Willy or won’t he cave in, with 80-seat majority?

I hope that he sticks to his guns, the Tories have a history of scuppering any form of Brexit arrangement that is favourable to the UK, preferring in fact to appease the Germans. The only reason that Johnson is where he is is because he promised to do the job without shirking, now he may be shirking.

He is a disorganised mess, inarticulate, deceitful and untrustworthy, BUT, he is the only one in a position to face down the foreigners, unless he bottles it that is. If the Tories rebel, great, withdraw the whip, unless they get behind Johnson they deserve to be out of office for a century.

I still am bemused by the number of Englishmen that are putting the desires of Germany before the rights of the United Kingdom. Staumbanfurear Von Leydan must be loving watching the Labour Party and certain Tories coming down on her side over this.

I think I have missed these 'desires' - maybe the taxi driver sent me to sleep :-). What are they exactly, and are they the same as the EU 'desires'?

Germany runs the EU, the Frogs make a lot of noise but that,s about all, everyone else does as they are told by Merkel.

The Jerries want our fish and want to limit our own trade subsidies, that is not what is in the best interests of the UK.

You don't think the Huns really want our fish, do you? More than France and Spain? Germany does not, by the way, 'run' the Brexit negotiations, the EU parliament does.

Here is a top jerry telling the Poles what to do, rather rich coming from them considering what they did in Poland not so long ago.
I hope that the Poles tell her to stick her observations

.

‘EU’ = whatever Germany wants it gets, ask the Greeks?

Whatever you do, don’t mention the war! I did, but I think I got away with it.

Nothing changes, especially when one forgets history. UVDL has probably read her history and is still smarting at the accounts of the German U-boat fleet tied up in the river Foyle at Derry after WW2, prior to their ignominious towing out to sea and scuttling by the victorious Allies

So what better revenge for the Krauts if they could split off NornIron in a last desperate act of revenge?

This has all the makings of an OTT film in a few decade’s time... ~X(

Having spent many a summer holiday on my grandparents' farm in Co Monaghan about 2 miles South of the border, I can assure you that there was no hard border back then.

Used to take about 20 Freisans across the border to neighbour's farm to be counted in some government inspection involving farming subsidies.
Before he died just pre-millenium my father used to tell me the story about the much-travelled cattle who would spend their days shuttling across the ‘border’, before the great peace treaty, in order that their registered owners could claim repeatedly on whatever subsidies our lords and masters in Brussels had allocated to the import/export of the SAME beasts.

They would get a break overnight before clocking up the mileage and the subsidies next day until the ‘relief team’ took over next week.

Does anyone think that practice won’t be repeated after whatever ***** Brexit final outcome is signed? Unless Irexit takes hold and needs ten years of the sort of crap the Brits have endured before Paddy & Bridget are free, in theory.

Divorces can be divisive when it comes to sharing assets.

Thank god there weren't any unforeseen consequences to Brexit. It's all going brilliantly. Still, I'm all for London having a hard border with Kent. I mean, have you been to Tunbridge Wells lately? The state of it...

We are all fooked. And the idiots that wished the coming chaos on their kids will be remembered in tax bills for another generation. Imbeciles! An act of collective madness that has lowered our status in the world to that of 1 above Burundi!

If you’d been told that 3 months before the reality of Brexit kicks in, we’d have shifty-as-**** Michael Gove regaling us with the prospect of a ‘Kent Access Permit’ and 2 day lorry queues, you’d have said that that was totally insane. You might even have called it Project Fear.

Hello There! In the unfortunate absence of Jeff Taylor here’s your recommended daily intake of Brexit fibre for continued health;

The question is, will our obviously wounded and sensitive PM blink and cave in at the last moment or will Lord Frost and the Rottweiler Cummings bound and gag BoJo in the # 10 cellar until it’s all over and the fat lady has sung?
