a PM who will build, fund, staff and equip 40 new hospitals
Because he’s got such a great reputation for getting things done =))
When all else fails, read the instructions.

He certainly did when Mayor, which is probably why he was elected for a second term.

His Airport, Garden Bridge, Routemaster buses, just off the top of my head

Don’t be too harsh on him, the Garden Bridge cost a mere £53,000,000 resulting in an unobstructed view of the River Thames at the proposed site. Good value for money?!

And Sully could have advised on the wisdom of Thames Airport and the birdstrike risk but I gather he wasn’t invited to comment.

Moving on, nice to know there are those of similar vintage to the O-N contributors who have equally cynical views on the current farce;

Not a lot of news from the A S creation recently. Are they now an endangered species? :O3

The utterly loathsome buildings which have ruined London's skyline and the Thames, all approved by BJ.

I am not a fan and have yet to be convinced he will pull Brexit off, however he did appear to enjoy some success as Mayor

Somebody picked a good time to sell this Banksy:

It fetched almost £10M.

Unlike its subject material, and a previous offering at Sotheby's, it has not self-destructed.

That can be taken two ways!

I’m hoping for a no-deal as the quid will head south and open up currency opportunities. Further, certain bloody good stocks will also head 180(T) thus a buyer’s market. Make no mistake - I have full faith in the real Poms. A weaker Sterling will create potential export opportunities and the well known English trait of resilience will have Blighty on top again without the millstone of Brussels. It may take about 2 years or so of economic pain but it’ll be worth it in the long run, both for locals and far-flung investors like me.

I truly want to ride that wave baby before the bloody islamics eventually take over the country. Hopefully a revamped immig policy will boot out the lunatic fringe of that damn religion and delay the inevitable. But that will take strong gutsy non-moozy non-PC leadership. I’m not sure if there are any.

As an aside the only thing I concern myself is whether the USA post-Brexit will somehow ‘fence in’ England to it tradewise. This would definitely not be good.

Watch Boris.
He has the bit between his teeth on this one.
We'll be leaving on 31 Oct, in my best guess, without a deal- or at least I bloody hope so!

BoJo has teed it up so that if we go deal-less, which I'm sure is what he wants, he can have a stab at blaming it on the EU.

He comes across as such a buffoon, that's it's easy to mistake him for one.

In fact he's very clearly focussed on what needs to be done, and what lies in its way. He will do whatever it takes.

If he fails, he's fcuked, and he knows it.

Wouldn't be surprised if he declares the Country is in a State of Emergency, grabs the enhanced authority brought by that and bangs us out on plan.

We have seen how the SNP are implacable in opposing anything at all in Parliament as part of their drive to demonstrate that Scotland is nearer to it's French allies than their current Union partners in England, they are now planning to use their own Courts in Edinburgh to send Boris Johnson to prison if he pursues No Deal, that should put the cat amongst the pigeons.

If Boris is incarcerated in the Bar L he will be able to share political reminiscences with the former SNP First Minister who we understand may well be joining him there in the New Year.

The Plan?
Does Boris send the extension letter, but also tell the EU that the UK will not be paying any dues during any extension?
This will guarantee the EU won't accept the extension request.
This would meet the letter of the Benn Law, but also fit with the speaker's ruling that Queen's Consent was not necessary, which it isn't if the Benn Bill involved no public expenditure, but is if it does.
It would also explain why the Speaker has announced his retirement already, as he has subsequently realised he has provided the loophole for Boris to get through.

Boris, for better or for worse, is the PM.
Brexit is going to happen in 27 days, and thank fugg!

There will be a warehouse of ***** ten years long following right behind it, but that's better than rebutting the people- anarchy lies there.
