To more practical matters - turnout.
What do readers think the EU election turnout will be, increased or decreased?, and who will it benefit?

Our recent provincial election has just generated:
UPEI political science professor Don Desserud said he is at a loss to explain why voter participation is declining.
“I despair,” Desserud said
Turnout was 76%

Based on voters who turned up at the council elections by mistake it could be up. I am at a tiny polling station, only 250 people with a fair number of postal voters. If we get a 100 I would be surprised.

I expect voter turnout to be low (why bother?) - apart from Brexiteers who will probably turn out to vote for the Brexit party.

One thing is certain. The people who do not like the outcome (of any election) and protest the most vociferously will be the people who could not be bothered to vote.

Not so sure. One BiL is an ardent remainer, soundly berates his mother (94) for being a leaver. He is in the next region with 7 seats. They are predicted to get 4 Brexit, one Con, one LD and one Green. That is 5-2 leave. 😁

Good for a windup.

In this case I think that is probably unnecessary.

Bit sneaky, BREXIT PARTY would you think be top of the ballot slip. Not where we are, it is 6th it is THE BREXIT PARTY.

I bet that loses them a few votes for the literally challenged.

I think the candidates are listed alphabetically.

I think May only turns up when she feels safe, not when she might be exposed to the wrath of the public. Witness the Grenfell Tower fire - she made a quick visit to chat to the police and fire service, but couldn't bring herself to speak to people who survived or lost loved ones.

Likewise spoke sharply to the Police at their conference when she was Home Secretary, but they were hardly likely to pelt her with rotten eggs. Reduced their numbers considerably, which probably accounts for their inability to get to grips with feral youths in London, but what a load of money she saved the country in police salaries and pensions.

Thick enough to show her face in Bristol where she just embarrassed the candidates.

I don't think that this incredible stupidity and unawareness is limited to Mrs May, the Tories feel that Boris is the answer to their prayers and that making him leader will solve everything, he has consistently ducked issues, put no discernible effort into being Foreign Secretary, can't speak properly, the even worse idea of teaming him with Amber Rudd just shows how bad their idea of management is.
If we hadn't had to witness the appalling mess they have made of Brexit this shower of incompetents would have carried on misruling the Country without our noticing how dire they all are.

The fact that Mrs May hasn't resigned several times over and they haven't made her just demonstrates how shoddy and dishonourable this crap Government really is, ditto with Gyppo Corbyn and his henchpeople, they really don't get it.

They soon will.

Candidates are listed in the order the party would wish to have elected against the number of seats won. This was demonstrated placed when a sitting UKIP MEP stood down in 2017 and #3 from 2014 took his place.

My point was that Brexit precedes Change UK which precedes Conservative, but that The Brexit Party only precedes UKIP and follows Greens.

Even The Independent group appears above The Brexit Party.

Om15, sadly you are right, a notch vote of confidence and a lack of testicles.

I just flicked across the Ghastly Put Up Phony Spectacle myself. And just as quickly turned it off. Null punkt, Europe.
