Well he has had his haircut, so he must mean business.
I think that we need a complete set of new faces to go forward, the only person in the present heap of Tories that has conducted herself properly and professionally is Andrea Leadsom, quietly supporting the PM but also making it clear that we must leave the EU as stated in the manifesto.
BJ would be a disaster, but that wouldn't stop the Tories making him leader.

Well, I'd vote for Boris.
I like him.

Not sure about McVey, I tend to think that she is rather a climber and likes being the centre of attention, quite nice legs though, but that's about all.
I think Boris is a busted flush, he should have pitched for leader after Cameron resigned but he bottled it, then when offered the role of Foreign Secretary he messed about not doing it properly before flouncing out, actually what we need is someone who is committed to quietly doing the right thing rather than headline grabbing and being a prima donna, that rules out most of the Tory party. I expect that they will go for someone like Hammond and that will be the end of them, and richly deserved too.

The moderate Labour people must be in despair, they should be surging ahead in the polls, but where are they, all right thinking normal people have taken one look at Corbyn and run a mile, just left with the menacing hard left supported by a few care in the community retards, about time the normal labour party ousted the nutters and set themselves up for office, they will never have another golden opportunity like this again.

Yesterday's "Evening Standard" wrote that Corbyn is thinking of standing down and is seeking someone to whom he can "hand the reins of his surprisingly successful Socialist Party".

Is the "Evening Standard" published in some parallel universe of which I am unaware ?

Surely we can run two threads at once?

I'd vote for Boris. He's more open about being a clown than the rest of them, and he's smarter.

Yes, but would Corbyn accept Boris as his replacement?

The thing is that at the moment Labour should be doing way better than they are, and it's possible that if they put in someone with better public support than Corbyn (despite all the stuff about how wonderful he is, his head to head comparison with May was bad, which takes some doing) they'd easily win the next election.

Things are starting to look quite interesting, quoting a 900 year rule the Odious Bercow has decided that the third go at the deal will not happen, Mrs May is going to ask the foreigners for an extension, however Farage has primed his anti EU mates to turn this down.
We can only hope that it all blows up in their faces and we leave in eleven days with no deal, anything will be better than what we have.

I have just read the Labour manifesto out of interest, cleverly written, but one theme running through is get your money off shore if they get in.

Om15, regarded of my views I just wish they would move on.

Circuit thing though my share holding has risen 10% since Christmas. Business may complain it is moribund, hostage to Brexit, but the stock exchanges say something different.

Today John Bercow pissed in the fusebox.

By pointing out that a third vote on fundamentally the same thing as the last two massive defeats is out of order, he has almost snookered the government.

Mrs May can't resubmit her damned agreement in this parliamentary session and she'll have to resort to the artificial device of suspending parliament and starting a new session. Maybe even a new Queens Speech?

I thought Bercow was telling PMTM that if she wanted to have another go, she should call a general Election and, IF she won, then she could do it. He heavily emphasised the "not in the current parliamentary session" aspect.

He does like the sound of his own voice.
