Parliament is prorogued at close of business tonight.

What's the chance Boris simply closes the curtains at No.10, binge-watches the entire West Wing with Carrie, then turns up at the re-opening with
"Royal Assent? Bill, what Bill? Oh, sorry. Must have left it in my other trousers. I'll give the Queen a bell this weekend. I'll get around to it."

BOAC, will your pitchfork and my trailer-portable lightweight guillotine render us liable to have our collars felt & worse for “carrying a bladed article in a public place”?

With nefarious intent as well........😱

Bercow gone! (IF Parliament votes for an election, or October 31st, whichever comes earlier)
Ding dong, the witch is dead!

Get that popcorn and a two-four in, this is going to be a long, fun day ;)))

corrected.
I take this as a sign that Boris has worked out a way to take the UK out of the EU at Hallowe'en, and Bercow has worked out he has no procedural means to stop him.

Why else would these be his conditions?
He's already broken a promise to stay this long, and is clearly an ardent remainer.
He doesn't want the ignominy of being the only Speaker in modern times to be stood against and lose in an election, and he would need to stay if he thought there was any chance of the UK remaining in the EU past Oct 31st - only an extension has been demanded in the Bill.
If he leaves this way his surface reputation remains intact, on which he will dine out and speak for the rest of his natural.

Loony Left Logic: #87,234 in a series of 786 million.

Ian Blackford (SNP) has just called Boris Johnson a dictator for trying to force an election.

Mrs May has sealed her reputation with the announcement that Ollie Robbins is awarded a knighthood as he leaves to join Goldman Sachs. Another unworthy recipient of an honour is Cressida Dick, the ineffective police women.

Rotten shower the Tories.

I see Corbyn said today that "Labour would offer the public a credible Brexit leave agreement."

1) What is the "credible agreement ?"
2) Has he, unbeknownst to us, met EU Commission leaders who have agreed to it ?
3) If he has such a "credible agreement" in his pocket, why is he refusing the possibility of a General Election, at which time he could whip it out and save us all ?

Answers on the back of a postage stamp please, and try to get the letters EELSSSU CNTU in the correct order.
