That can't be true. There's .......... uh ..... maybe not ....... or ...... um ..... thingy ...... perhaps not ...... or .... no.

Sadly, with the possible exception of Jacob Rees Mogg, you're probably right. Heaven forbid they have an election and the country gets the unholy alliance of Corbin, Abbott, and McDonald. Even the illegal invaders would leave.

Looks very much like the Establishment now have a clear run at stopping Brexit, or does it? My understanding is that we leave on the 29th March without a deal as default, if the Commons do in fact vote for not leaving with "no deal" and an extension to Article 50 then this cannot be used to change the law unless Mrs May does so. In fact if she does nothing we then leave, but she looks wrecked now, can she last the week without collapsing.
We need a new leader that will sort out these MPs and have the bollocks to tell the EU to shove the deal, out of interest our straw poll on here gave 72% to leave at the referendum, has anyone on here changed their mind?

Admin, is it possible to carry out another poll?

I have changed my mind.

Instead of being 99% sure that leaving was the right thing to do, I am now 100%.

I seem to remember commenting, back when she was elected leader, that TM had f#cked up every job she'd had so far, and would f#ck up being PM even more.

...I don't like being right about things like this, you know.

Agree 100% Fox.

Kept her head down in the run up to the Brexit referendum, after f*cking up Home Secretary job and even bigger f*ck up as PM. Maybe more cops on the streets would have saved some of the country's youth from being slaughtered.

If the knives come out for her I've no doubt the Tories will put someone equally bad in her place in case they are thought of as swinging too far 'right'. The country really does need a strong leader now - just to tell the EU boys where to stick their bullying tactics - and that doesn't necessarily take a right winger, just someone with guts. She's been led around by the nose for the last two years by them.

....and still she stands at the dispatch box and insists her deal (whatever that might be) is the best one. Utterly deluded. She would be an object of pity were it not for the crime she has perpetrated on us all. As for the bearded Noddy opposite who lets her get away with it....they should both be sewn into an ox skin with an army of rabid rats and thrown into the Thames south of the Fleet River drain.

"..were it not for the crime she has perpetrated on us all."
Um, she's not the only one.
Promised they'd do what the people said. Kept promising it, all parties. Now don't. Doesn't look like they were competent to do so even if they'd wanted to.
They don't even want power for themselves, but to give it to an unelected bureaucracy elsewhere. Undermines the entire British Constitution and all notion of Justice.
The UK is a failed state, discuss.

I rather wish that someone in the Commons would stand up and use some words to Mrs May which were said in the Chamber in 1653 and again in 1940:

You have sat too long here for any good you have been doing. Depart, I say, and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go.

It was said to the Rump Parliament, and now it does indeed need saying again to a bunch of total @rses.

That would be something, at least? #-o

And they want a second referendum. What for? To get one more LEAVE and enter another circus-loop, or get a STAY and stay?
Gosh. The world has gone mad.

What will HMtQ be thinking? I know she keeps her political views to herself but I'd love to be a fly on the wall whilst she's watching the this fiasco on the telly.

Well, if you ever wondered what to make of our politicians, now you know.

A bunch of utter wankers.

These fannies are paid, quite generously, to do a job. To make decisions on our behalf.

'We' have made our collective view known.

LEAVE.

So LEAVE!

"We " have indeed made our collective views known......you seem to have missed these.....in that those of us who wish to remain, and hence ensure the (tenuous at best thanks entirely to one of the most significant political miscalculations and subsequent unadulterated incompetence on the part of those "acting on our behalf " and the party from whence they come from ) future of the UK to negate a deterioration into an inconsequential little island off the shores of mainland Europe.

Alien invaders gets a mention I see.....would these be in the form of mink, grey squirrels or Japanese knot weed then ?

The UK's a democracy, is it not?

The people who live there were asked if they wanted to STAY in the EU, or to LEAVE it.

Our idiot representatives have had two YEARS to agree some terms with the EU, and they couldn't.

So LEAVE.

The sky won't fall on your head, Chicken little.

Edit to add: it sounds simplistic, I know, but if they cannot find anything, any deal, that commands a majority after TWO YEARS, then they might spend another twenty years or two hundred and twenty years talking about it.

Just leave. Then get on with the negotiating. It's actually the only way to go. The EU will never offer acceptable conditions for leaving, because they DON'T WANT US TO LEAVE.

FFS, just let's leave.

pThe Grand Old Duke of York
He had ten thousand men
He marched them up to the top of the hill
And he marched them down again.

I am a remainer. I have not changed my mind. My view is quite clear.

For God Sake LEAVE and don't dilly dally on the way.

Looks like K&C is a firm believer in democracy - so long as that democracy backs up what HE is thinking.
