Why did bonking Boris hail it as 'oven ready', then?

SKy news is as confused as everyone else https://news.sky.com/story/brexit-this- ... d-12067398

Breaching the 'NI Protocol' is going to have massive implications for Ireland, North and South as well as the UK and any possible US-UK trade talks.

Altogether a strange move - too much pressure from the ERG? Why this was not done on 1 Jan 2020 so we didn't waste almost 10 months of 'talks' I know not.

I wondered, as there were not a lot of errs, umms, fluster and bluster, pfiffles and pfoffles like usual.

Brace yourselves ! ! ! How come Jeff always manages to distil all this froth and furore down to basics which we (or at least simple old me) can understand?

So why has the NornIron sea border question remained under water until now when Barmier and UVDL are starting to panic as the sand runs out of the egg timer?

I fear the world is moving faster than your outrage bus, BM. The answer to your question is because Captain 'Nemo' Johnson and his 'underwater' crew had no idea how it was actually going to work. Simples.

We are being 'Governed' (Note 'Gove' in there?) by a bunch of incapable nitwits (with one or two exceptions) who are only in post because they kissed Bojo's arse and declared dying allegiance to his Brexit mantra.

Fear the worst.

So now the nasty bolshy UK is being accused of breaching international laws by the EUSSR.

So what part of "international law" within the EU has not been repeatedly breached by the residues of national governments giving state aid to their own industries in direct contravention of the bloc's own regulations, as signed up to by the members?

Such arrant hypocrisy is being displayed by not only the Barmyer set but our own politicians who have forgotten Article 38? :ymsick:

This IS economic warfare, be in no doubt about it.

Like any war, the goal is to win.

I am bemused at the number of English (forget the others, they have their own agendas) who want the Government to act on the conveniences of the EU before the rights of the UK. IF it is correct that the EU have expressed their intention to prevent the UK supplying NI with foodstuffs in the event of a No Deal we should be doing more than passing laws in Parliament.

Just stand back for a moment and look at what the EU are doing.

So you don't believe in Sovereignty? I'm standing back. Explain how the EU could possibly do that? Gunboats in the Irish Sea?

I smell a large deflection rat here in No 10.

Possibly, who knows.
As an aside, Biden and that old bird in the USA reckon that they will not give us a trade deal if Johnson passes this law, why do the yanks imagine that they have the first idea about the problems in Northern Island, this is the lot that used to pass collection buckets around to fund the IRA.
Explain how the EU could possibly do that?
I suppose that they would simply use the ECJ to fine us for breaking the withdrawal agreement. However they have said that they haven't said that, perhaps we should have taken notes and then we would know one way or the other.

This, of course, is the same EU that solved the migrant crisis and coordinates measures against Covid so that we do not get Member States doing their Own Thing.

You obviously do not understand the idea of 'Brexit'? One hopes your mates in No 10 have a better understanding, although I do wonder.

I see Japan has just 'agreed' a post-Brexit trade deal with the UK. No real detail yet, but I bet Japan is watching BoJo closely.......... Of course you can trust us.

‘Tis priceless to watch & listen to the US bragging about their part in the NornIron Peace Process much as they’ve bragged about winning WW2 for those useless feckless Europeans.
It is such a shame that the credit seems all the time to be given to one Anthony Bliar even though the hard work was done by the late Mo Mowlem slogging away, with or without her chemo wig, trying to extract signs of intelligence from the likes of Ian Paisley and whichever US funded ‘ex-IRA’ local commander was in the frame.
We on this side of 30W await a recent 20th or 21st Century peace negotiated and lasting as a result of the efforts of the USA.
Bringing freedom and democracy to Iraq and defeating and extracting a peaceful commitment from the Taliban in Afghanistan have not exactly qualified as shining examples of peace-broking.
And we won’t mention that old proxy warground, the Middle East & Palestine!
So Uncle Sam, feck off and put your own affairs in order before sticking yer snout in where it isn’t welcome!
You were happy enough to ship the guns & explosives across the Atlantic to kill UK soldiers and civilians until you discovered for yourselves the drawbacks of terrorism on US soil and suddenly the support for the IRA ‘tourists’ evaporated.
Shaddap and just get on with the trade deals ‘cos that means dosh for you, unless you’ve got the message that the NHS is no longer up for grabs? ~X(

According to Lester Taylor (who looks as if he is shortly going to run out of !! and burst his wing collar...), the NI Minister, Brandon Lewis, apparently misled the House the other day with his statement on the new act. Will he be disciplined?

Let's be honest Lester and his acolytes are a bunch of twats... =))

This summarises the nature of the world we live in at the moment, where evil and stupidity abides...

First we have this...

and then there is the ubiquitous moustache called Lester... =))

Elusive."
