So Clintoris demands that the FBI explain themselves. They proceed to do so to Congress via Comey. Clintoris now condemns the Bureau for doing what she was demanding. Is this an episode of "Third Rock from the Sun?" or is life imitating art?

'Tis indeed a strange position for the FBI - damned if they do and damned if they don't. If they had not, if she was then elected and should she then be impeached they would have taken a lot of flak.

A strange country, indeed.

Couldn't someone put a petition together requesting they start the whole process again, say for a November 2017 election ? Perhaps Obama could be persuaded to withdraw his resignation and stay on for another year. :D

I have paid little attention to the race for the White House, other than registering an instinctive and overwhelming dislike of Mrs Clinton. I place Clinton in the same category as her husband and Blair, absolutely not the sort of person who can be trusted one inch.

I have occasionally listened to Mr Trump with mounting disbelief, despite his appearance and strange mannerisms there must be something that his supporters find to be presidential material, I haven't quite joined them yet.

The Big Issue is not a periodical that I tend to refer to when forming my political opinions, however this article is of interest, I understand that Mr Trump has a deep and long running feud with Alec Salmond, so that is one point in his favour.

If Mr Trump can't manage a golf course, can he be President of the United States?

Come now om... the current inhabitant of the White House was a "community organizer" and part time Senator for less than two years before he decided he was qualified to be perhaps the most powerful man in the world and that was seen as OK by the unwashed masses... Everything he has done since arriving there has been a screw up of epic proportions yet he's loved by the left as if he's done great things. Hell, he was given a Nobel Peace Prize before he even took office and has got involved in more violence and unrest than any other president I can think of yet he's adored by the peaceniks...

At least with Donald's list of failures there's an equally long list of successes which is something that can't be said about the current White House incumbent nor the harridan that wishes to move back in so she can complete her collection of "things liberated from the White House" after her first stay there.

I think that it will be very interesting if Mr Trump does become President, we will certainly have plenty to discuss on here I am sure.

My apologies for the outrageous thread drift but this chap has me intrigued and one of the Cousins might be able to tell me who/what he is.

He strikes up this pose nearly every day on Bourbon St, New Orleans, and some people put money in his bucket - why?

Just my take. I think the Donald is a useful idiot who will surround himself with able people who will do their damnedest to uphold constitutional principles. Clintoris is a controller who will surround herself with a weaker administration to do her absolute bidding. I don't have a dog directly in the race, but if the USA sneezes, the UK catches a cold. Had I a vote, it would be for the Republican candidate.

Magnus has. quite succinctly, laid out the dilemma America has...

Though it isn't actually a dilemma if America wants to remain America. With the utter shite that infest the left and right coast it is possible that "flyover country" will have no say... That could be a problem...

As you are well aware, AA, Flyover Country already has no say. Certainly not in my state of Washington.

On the other hand, that's where all the guns are.

OB:

Washington state is part of the left coast... controlled by the small region known as Seattle... Like California is controlled by LA and SF and Oregon is dominated by Portland and a chunk of it's northeastern counties.

Like you say though, there's a few more, (responsible), gun owners in the more reasonable areas of the left coast than there are in the silly, leftie strongholds..

There will come a point where "flyover country" will say, quite clearly, piss off to the rest of the stupids....

Not one of the US based nincompoops (and most of the British ones that post here) are my cousins. I may be a **** idiot but God never allow my genes to be so debased as to have to pretend I am related to these morons...

AA: Washington State is a microview of the country as a whole. Big ridge of mountains keeping the lefties from coming over to invade the eastern part. When you fly out of SeaTac you reach altitude over us, hence "flyover" starts here. People's Rep of Seattle controls the whole state though through sheer numbers.

We're trying to secede, and form a new State of Cascadia - E. WA, + E.OR + ID + MT. Let the pinkies starve in the dark. Hasn't happened yet, though, because we want to keep our 6 senators.
