On the subject of Nixon vis a vis Trump I guess it is worth "Taking a Closer Look"...

[bbvideo=560,315]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dpO--t1xCg[/bbvideo]

As it is noted in the program, with Nixon it was "I am not a crook" whereas with Trump it is "I am a crook and wadda you gonna do about it!"...

PS - Does anybody else feel the urge, felt consistently by me, a normally placid soul, to want to slug Trump in his flaccid, self-satisfied and completely stupid mug and then just keep repeating that action ad infinitum?

Can anyone really have confidence in President Trump?

Personally I think that he is potentially a very dangerous loose cannon. [-(

Crazy as it seems, a survey of "Republican voters" (no mention of how many or where from) found that most of them do not believe that Trump sacked Comey because of the "Russia thing," even though Trump came right out and said that was his reason! They have confidence in Trump, blind confidence.

I hope they impeach this guy sooner rather than later, and remove him from office as unfit to serve. It doesn't have to be that he's done criminal things, although he has. Just Trump being Trump should be enough; the premise was that Trump at age 70 was somehow going to change into some sort of non-Trump in order to carry out his duties as President. Nope. He's still Trump, crazy as a shit-house rat, and that won't do.

So impeach him then, if you can. Good luck getting it through the House and Senate, though.

I, for one, approve of the job he's doing, unravelling the hold the left wing has had over us through the Supreme Court, EPA, border control, restoring patriotism, reconnecting America with its allies, et al. Results matter. I also enjoy the utter frustration his opponents are going through every day.

Spoken like a true, simple minded, mean spirited, dishonourable Republican! As for allies if you think that Erdogan and that crock of ***** called Duterte are your natural allies then you are a bigger...

Your genuine allies wonder what the hell you people are up to and when are you going to lose the idiot?

I'll stop before I start abusing you again.

This WaPo accusation has fallen way down the Google News list already.

Let's see if it is still holding its wee-wee this time next week.

If he's got you all twisted up, Caco, the guy must be doing something right.

Your post appeared. Do you see #1287?

Ben, this guy is just not fit for the job. Blabbing secrets to the Russians in the Oval Office? Allowing a reporter from TASS into the Oval Office while barring US reporters? Ben, that is not Trump's Oval Office; it belongs to the American People, and he needs to take a bit better care of it.

If I had written that Trump would do such things once he was in office, you would have been on my case for being some sort of nutty, sandal-wearing, hysterical loon to imagine such conduct on his part. Well, Trump got in, and he's doing such crazy things that nobody would have taken them for possible just six months ago.

Trump was supposed to have been magically transformed by the power of his high office. Nope, he's the same jerk he has been all his life: Donald John Trump. You guys were expecting some sort of incredible transformation, when what you got was simply Trump remaining Trump. There was plenty of warning, much of it from his fellow Republicans, that Trump was uniquely unsuitable, for many obvious reasons, for this, our highest office. Never mind, you wanted him; you got him; and now the problem is how to get rid of him before he does terminal damage to our country. Sit there and enjoy his antics and our upset, but at some point the laughter is going to stop even for such blind followers as you.

You seem to have missed Watergate, right on the heels of Nixon's crowd cheering "Four more years!" They should have been yelling "Nixon's the one!"

I see my post here, but can't post on the other threads.

Nevertheless, President Trump has made progress on the Supreme court, EPA curtailment, jobs and unemployment, and border control. That's why we elected him, to do just that.

Benny, we don't give a tinker's cuss about your supreme court, EPA, jobs or even border controls. We are more concerned about where in the world he will start the next military rampage as a distraction.

I can appreciate your perspective, particularly since New Zealand has little defensive capability and no deterrent. You'll just have to go with the flow, won't you?

Thankfully for you, world events surely will pass you by, and you'll live in idyllic serenity forever and ever.

When John emerges from his Secret Room to view the smoking ruin that was New Zealand he's going to have to carve his whinges (about the USA not coming to the aid of New Zealand, this time) into the shell of a fresh coconut, because the North Koreans will have shut down his internet server.

Good luck finding a friendly current that can get your coconut to someone who will give a damn about your whingeing, John, but I am sure you will feel better getting all of that off your narrow chest. Afterwards you can get back to work figuring out how to finesse this situation and find something nice to say about your new North Korean overlords.

Happened even faster than I predicted: media realizing that there was nothing illegal about Trump meeting with Russian diplomats; that the President can tell them anything he wants; and that the NYT/WaPo are dooshes for revealing in print the country whose intel was supposedly compromised.

Only 24 hours, and the issue is forgotten so we can move on to another so-called Trump crime.

It's never going to end. I hope Trump has a thick skin.

Here we go again! There is nothing illegal about spilling deep secrets to the Russkis, given that you are the President, no.

Trump could have taken a whizz all over the Oval Office carpet, with TASS snapping pictures, if he had wanted to, when that would not have been illegal. (I just checked the Constitution, and there's absolutely nothing in it about the President being barred from doing that in so many words.)

Would doing that have been grossly wrong, though? Not illegal, no, but extremely stupid and risky to do? Abso-friggin'-lutely! What Trump actually did was worse than that, by far. He disclosed highly sensitive material, meant to be kept to ourselves, to a hostile power. (I guess Trump forgot that Russia is not on our side in the conflict in Syria.)

The next act in this farce has to do with the demand for the transcript of the meeting between Trump, Lavrov, and Kislyak to be released. Want to bet that Trump is going to make the ridiculous claim that the American People can't be told top-secret stuff ... that he had already told the Russians?

Seems Trump is stepping in the pooh quite frequently. If it gets too embarrassing he will have to start a war somewhere as a diversion and I expect him to start some dicking around the Korean Northern Limit Line.

Some British bookies are showing that their punters don't have much confidence in a certain President.

The latest

US President Donald Trump has lashed out at the decision to appoint a special counsel to oversee the inquiry into Russian influence on his election.
"This is the single greatest witch hunt of a politician in American history," he tweeted on Thursday morning.
His reaction differed from Wednesday when he was quoted in a White House statement as saying: "I look forward to this matter concluding quickly."
Former FBI director Robert Mueller has been selected to lead the inquiry.
In naming Robert Mueller, the US deputy attorney general said it was in the public interest to pick an outsider.
When all else fails, read the instructions.

Fcuk huh. The Democrats are gonna push and push and push this Trump - Moscow thing every bloody day until those elections next year to try give the Clinton gang a chance of a comeback. Hiiillary seems to think it'll be the ace up her snatch.

Christ and I thought the Dems were rabid when they were shoving Gore's global warming scam down everyone's throat. Even the bloody Fabian Society thought it was a load of propagandist sh!t till those Socialist International fanatical bastards recognised its full potential for its global redistribution of Wealth agenda. But I digress...

Trump asked what the relevance of NATO is since the Cold War ended. WTF was wrong in asking that? I asked the same bloody question. He now thinks it's still relevant but I certainly don't. But he has to play the politics I suppose.

Fortunately the average American has at long last woken up that mainstream media are full of sh!t and should be rightly ignored.

BTW I'm no supporter of Trump nor Hiiillary. I'm calling it as I see it without any reliance on mainstream fake news and its straight out ***** (Fox, CNBC, CNN, anything from the UK, Oz ABC, etc etc ad infinitem).

Rant over.

As for the Riyadh visit we'll have to wait and see who sucks whose dick. But damn...as an investor whod've guessed Lockheed Martin?
