Do you mean a final solution Ben?
No. Most Muslims, in my experience, are fine people. The Jihadis are the ones who need killing,

The Chump has been using US citizens tariff payments on incoming goods to subsidise US farmers! Twatting today about US farmers:

Jan 16, 2020
"I hope the thing they will most remember is the fact that I was able to take massive incoming Tariff money and use it to help them get through the tough times!"

That's kind of him..................... I'm sure that will go down well.

Did I not hear that China would be paying the tariffs?

A spike like that means nothing, it may be that the markets think there's nothing in the charges and he'll be back pushing things shortly, it may be that the markets think that finally he'll be removed from office and normality can resume.

I agree with what ‘del said somewhat. Trump has nothing to do with the rises of the DOW and S&P 500. The market is presently doing extremely well simply because it is oversaturated with cheap debt. When the correction comes it’ll be with a thump as the Fed Reserve has painted itself into a corner with no room to manouvre. A recession 10 times more so. This hopefully will mean the Fed and ECB will lose their respective market influences when interest rates go zero (or negative) and let natural forces apply.

I would have thought that seeing the crew from the Democrats walking into the chamber, led by Jerry Nadler and Adam Schiff would be enough to throw terror into the minds of all right thinking Americans. What a pair of fine upstanding politicians, if there is such a creature. I would think with those two on your side victory is far from certain.

From the BBC:
"A Zimbabwean $10bn note, a toilet roll with Donald Trump's face on it and a giant tent were among items left on a city's buses over the past year."

It was not mentioned whether it was used or not - no, not the tent.

Boac,

You need to watch President Trump's Davos speech. It'll cheer you up and maybe even sweeten your sour disposition.

Prospecter,

Schiff is downright creepy. Nadler is just a penultimate nerd. Pelosi is clueless. President Trump is going to sail through this thing and easily win re-election (I believe at this early stage, but things can change).

With the performance of the economy from the beginning of this administration, if President Trump appears certain to be losing the November election I'm cashing out and moving to Mexico.

I’m already portfolio’d Ben to pull financially out of the States entirely at a moment’s notice should there even be a hint of a Democrunt loony taking office.

Don’t forget you’ll still have Fed taxes to contend with (which’ll no doubt skyrocket under the socialists) as you’re still a citizen of the USA. Just saying.

My two new best friends in Mexico, we're all Americans, have been discussing buying extensive (10,000 acres) of unimproved jungle land available within 5 miles of Tulum with a mile of frontage along a highway which provides access to Tulum, which is growing rapidly. The cost is around $2 million divided by three..

I have so far had no US tax consequences buying my current property in Mexico. The Mexican property taxes on my $300,000 home in a gated, secured resort residential area, Bahia Principe, Akumal, Riviera Maya, with beach and golf course on site, is around $150/year. I had to pay cash for it, but I simply wired the funds to Mexico and had no US tax for off-shoring those funds. If I had simply moved cash from a US to Mexico bank I think I would have had to pay some exit taxes. The lesson learned is that you don't move naked cash, but buy property. If I sell the US will claim capital gains taxes even if I renounced US citizenship, which I will never do.

Why are you avoiding taxes Ben? You should be proud to pay your taxes to the full so that Trump can get on with the good work he is doing!

- started, Ben, with eager anticipation of greta words (SWIDT?), but it was apparent it was an election speech and had very little to do with the real world, so I quit, thus no chance for ecstasy.

Why are you avoiding taxes Ben?
I don't mind paying taxes to contribute to the public good. I have in the past and continue to pay a lot of my earnings to the taxman, and I don't think I've received more than a quarter of value back in return due to government inefficiency, waste and corruption. Now that I'm retired I need to retain as much as I can of my income to assure the well being of my self and wife, and leave a bit to my heirs. Further in the equation is that I feel that a lot of what I send to Washington and my state, Michigan, is wasted and siphoned off by corrupt interests.

By diverting assets to Mexico, also corrupt but not as costly to me, I think and hope I'm securing a refuge that ensures that if things fall apart in the US I'll be able to enjoy a white sand beach in a tropical setting, sipping margaritas, watching the birds and sounds from my penthouse terrace overlooking the majestic jungle, fortified by the fantastic friends, fellow expats from Germany, Slovakia, Poland, Australia, Canada and the US, just in my close neighborhood, that I've made in my remote hideaway. It all has worked for me so far. Should things change I retain the option to relocate to Australia or other climes abounding that welcome an American ex-pat on a pension with a modest stash of wealth to bring aboard.

I don't think the US accumulation of budget deficits and debt is sustainable for very much longer. I'm trying to prepare for a potential collapse, which I think is possible should President Trump not be re-elected and Democrats take control of the White House and Congress. I think it's a good idea to try to accumulate 5 years of living costs by holding hard, physical gold. I'm not there yet but still buy it on the dips, keeping gold at 10% of my net worth. One nice thing about physical gold is that you can keep $1 million USD worth of it in a fairly small, transportable package, and even protect it with a gun (in the US).

- a bit of a non-sequitur there? Had your eyes or logic circuits checked lately, Ben? Who has been building this debt mountain?

Democrats. When in power they created entitlements but didn't provide funding. Medicaid, welfare, Medicare, and lately providing social benefits to illegal aliens absorb costs increasing at an alarming rate. The president has no influence on built in and protected entitlements, the House of Representatives does through its appropriation power. Discretionary spending is squeezed by entitlement spending, the greatest component of the US budget. You should know that before you snidely question my eyes or logic circuits.
