I came to that conclusion months ago Ben and why I don't respond to anything he says on this thread. Shame really.
The US Hamster Wheel

Re: The US Hamster Wheel
- to me, they are the issue. You have a POTUS that is ridiculed world-wide and is building an increasing national debt for future generations (of which he has stated he does not care) while producing a pant-wetting stimulus to the US economy that is unlikely to last. Any economics genius, Ben, of which you 'are' one will tell you that cutting taxes and increasing borrowing is a great way to boost the instant economy.Ben wrote:how things are going overall
This is NOT how much of the western world wants to see the US going.

As an example, Ben, this is how he is assessed by the 'closest ally of the USA'

One wonders why it was leaked Of course, it is all fake news, isn't it?

Mind you, the Blabbermouth has not said anything about Theresa May in any way different from what we all feel. She has indeed created a mess.
One can only speculate on his advice to her as how to deal with the EU Commission. Nuke Brussels, perhaps. Not a bad idea. Bit extreme I suppose. Best done during the school holidays.

Re: The US Hamster Wheel
I think we should expel the US ambassador.

Again I point out to the rabid anti-trumpists here that Tim Pool is on the Left. Not the loony Left but the vary rare intelligent Left.

I'm sure Americans like Ben T would rather have a President who acts sometimes un-Presidential, but who delivers (and delivers well) rather than some smooth-talking, well spoken, charmingly Presidential blatant socialist liar.

As good a summary of the Democrats position as you'll find.
Are Democrats Ceding the Center to Trump?

Slasher - I think the only thing anyone questioned was yourSlasher wrote:those who thought it was crap when I said that Democrats don't support abortion at birth?
You have not produced ANY sustainable quote about this. I don't think anyone on this forum knew that when you posted that you were deep in a Moonshine-fuelled porno-soaked crisis. We do now, and perhaps we can now see what is wrong."Actually as I understand it the abortion is done by tearing apart and dismembering the baby as it makes its way down the vadge during the birth process. The bits that get born are disposed of."
My advice still stands
and I'll now addI have a feeling you need to cut back on the hallucinogenics, Slasher
To add to your Milton-like fall into the pits of hell I will cheer you up with my other comment at the timegive the tissue boxes a break too
PS We all hope you are going to do something sensible soon, especially for your wife and son's sake.Don't forget, mind you, that some Democrats eat babies for breakfast.
Re: The US Hamster Wheel
Mr Trump has carried out more tweeting today about our Ambassador,
Watched some Establishment figure on the news last night rather stiffly saying that the US President doesn't select our Ambassadors, Mr Trump hasn't suggested that he should select our Ambassador, merely that he won't talk to the one we have sent, as the Ambassador seems to have been set up it is all rather unfortunate, my only thought is that someone sat in a pub with a pile of newspapers could have written his report, isn't he rather an expensive way to gather together some inaccurate gossip.Donald Trump has branded Theresa May "foolish", and British ambassador to the US Sir Kim Darroch as "wacky" and a "stupid guy" in a furious series of tweets as the diplomatic war of words between London and Washington DC boiled over.
The US leader laid into outgoing Prime Minister Theresa May, describing her as "foolish" over her "failed Brexit negotiations".
Mr Trump is on the warpath after leaked memos revealed Sir Kim Darroch had described the White House as "inept". Mr Trump tweeted: "The wacky Ambassador that the U.K. foisted upon the United States is not someone we are thrilled with, a very stupid guy.
"He should speak to his country, and Prime Minister May, about their failed Brexit negotiation, and not be upset with my criticism of how badly it was handled.
"I told @theresa_may how to do that deal, but she went her own foolish way-was unable to get it done. A disaster! I don’t know the Ambassador but have been told he is a pompous fool.
"Tell him the USA now has the best Economy & Military anywhere in the World, by far and they are both only getting bigger, better and stronger.....Thank you, Mr. President!"
Re: The US Hamster Wheel
First Boac - who is the "we"? You have stated your opinion. I don't see any "we" at all.Boac wrote: ↑Tue Jul 09, 2019 2:52 pmSlasher - I think the only thing anyone questioned was yourYou have not produced ANY sustainable quote about this. Second - to say I'm moonshine-fueled (inferring I'm drunk) is very Admin-ish of you and I'm surprised you'd say that. However in this case since I wasn't banned I have the chance to refute such a slanderous and unsubstantiated allegation. I don't post here when I'm drunk. If I did I'd Ben Shapiro and Paul Joseph Watson myself and logically tear thoroughly to pieces any argument put forward by left wingers and leaving no room for debate whatsoever.
Third - do you really want the gory details of how an abortion is conducted during birth? I'll point out certain clinics in BKK and you can come and see it first hand. All very sterile and clean. As for quotes you've seen the Democrat stance in the clip above. Do you need to see Pelosi or AOC or that other lunatic on CNN or MSNBC being interviewed live before you understand this?
Forth - what has my wife and kid got anything to do with this thread? That was a cheap shot man.
However I agree with the porn thing. When I was allowed back in for whatever the reason was, I stated on TRABB that I'll post sparingly on a hit n run basis, and say nothing more of my private life. The latter restricted to the 15 or so members I privately communicate with by email.
Re: The US Hamster Wheel
- all I will say in response, since you and I and BKK are now a long way from 'The US Hamster Wheel' is - very little, but it has to do with YOU, and rather than start a new thread on Slasher's self-declared slide into the pit I put that here.what has my wife and kid got anything to do with this thread
I wish you luck.

Re: The US Hamster Wheel
One of the things I like about Slasher is that he posts what's on his mind and doesn't varnish it - much like President Trump.
When the UK ambassador to the US' opinion was exposed it was not hard to see that his effectiveness as intermediary was lost. President Trump called him on it and UK now needs a new ambassador. I would expect the same response from UK had the US ambassador disparaged the Queen (head of state, and who Americans generally revere and adore). Senior diplomats should know better than to go where the current UK ambassador to the US did.

He has, rightly, resigned his post as it is now untenable. A sad loss, I feel.

Re: The US Hamster Wheel
This whole fiasco is not the former ambassadors fault. He was doing his job by giving his opinion to Whitehall. I have seen a similar case of a US ambassador to Zimbabwe giving a no less flattering description of Mugabe.BenThere wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 1:08 pmOne of the things I like about Slasher is that he posts what's on his mind and doesn't varnish it - much like President Trump.

What was wrong was the leak! Some 'trusted' civil servant who handled or had sight of the document, did the leaking.
I believe that professional diplomats are signatories to the Official Secrets act. If so the villain should be prosecuted.

Re: The US Hamster Wheel
I take it, then, Ben that you expect your Ambassador to China to brief the Chump on what a wonderful government exists in China, how all their policies are 'joined up' and fair and logical and what an outstanding chap and a pleasant man Xi is?Ben wrote:Senior diplomats should know better than to go where the current UK ambassador to the US did.
No, I didn't think so. Have another go.

Re: The US Hamster Wheel
Okay. Ian makes a good point. Confidential communications between diplomats and their superiors should be candid and held confidential. This cofefve was a breach of secure diplomatic channels. That said, once it was out in the open, and the UK ambassador was outed as hostile to the US president, he was no longer suitable to his task and mission.Have another go.
It would have been so much easier if UK had appointed a friend to the US administration to the post, someone like Nigel.
Boac, I think the President has exhibited that he demands truth and competence over the sycophancy you imply. That's much of the reason why President Trump's world-wide diplomacy has been so successful.
