I found it interesting that I was audited by IRS along with my 93 year old mother, whose tax returns I did. I contributed money to conservatives and she did, too. We were both audited even though statistics said that her income level ($50,000 or so) was audited at a 2% rate and my income ($250,000 or so) was audited at a rate of 10%. We both were audited each year from 2011-2014, never resulting in any penalty or adverse ruling on our deductions. My conclusion is that the audits were selected because we sent money to Republicans and the NRA during the Obama years.

Now I'm retired and my mother is dead. The Obama administration is caput. I'm moving to Mexico. I don't think I'll ever be audited again.
