Apparently we are witnessing "brand Sussex" whatever that might mean, sounds like a packet of bacon.
As the first-born son of a duke, Archie could have assumed the title of Earl of Dumbarton but he will instead simply be known as Master Archie.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said the individuality shown by Harry and Meghan in their choice of non-traditionally royal names was "marvellous" and would "rejuvenate the monarchy".
"It's a unique choice, by a unique couple who are doing things in a unique way," he said.
"We are talking about brand Sussex, which is an international brand," he said.

Famous Archies include Archie Panjabi, who starred in The Good Wife; Archie Andrews in Archie comics in America and also the Netflix show Riverdale; and Archie Mitchell, a villain in the BBC soap EastEnders.
From the BBC, (where else)

Why would that be a "worry", exactly?
...the humiliation of having a heir to the throne in the United Kingdom that has red hair would be rather too much for the Royal Family to bear...
Like izod tester, I want to know: Why the prejudice against red hair anyway?

Why would this be a humiliation, exactly?

The prejudice, as you correctly define it, only exists in the minds of a certain demographic who find a persons hair colour to be a source of "amusement ", irrelevant though this is to the persons nature....the same demographic also takes exception to any form of skin pigmentation that isn't pristine white, thankfully such people can be more readily defined.....they are known as racists.

The inability to understand societal progress and development, along with a marked reticence to understand they are in a minority, are also established traits of this demographic.

As in that innocent toy that everyone had: a soft doll with bright clothes, a black face, and fuzzy hair.

What's wrong with that? Remember Cabbage Patch dolls, now they were soft dolls with dull clothes, ugly face, and messy hair.

Or that other childhood delight portraying wife beating as an art form, or was it hapless male being nagged by old shrew? Did he have ginger hair?

Meanwhile, as many of the chums were cajoling with laughter at their combined racist wit, allied to mocking a baby, in the real world, such immature "humour " isn't as well received ....

Thanks to the BBC for their stance here.

Danny Baker comes across as loud, vacuous and now with this tweet humourless. I would have thought the BBC rather likes that.

As part of the Establishment the Royal Family must expect some stick now and again, they do get well compensated for it, anyway I thought you trot Momentum types hated the Royals, not like you to be unctuously outraged at some daft comments. If I didn't know better I might think that you had red hair.

I think that's very funny. I'd never heard of Danny Baker but he gets a few extra points in my book for this even if for nothing else

First, thank you for the introductory oxymoron ( see underlined ) evidenced further by you not being aware of Baker. He's been gracing the screen and airwaves for some time, albeit masquerading as a "comedian ", but, as somebody who admits to being a racist, it's understandable as to why you are amused with regard to his "joke ".

Can we take it, that, as you clearly hold him in high esteem, you will be sending a donation, or two, in support of his now defunct income ?

By the way, given the theme of several posts on here, and your own contributions, you were saying something about not ingratiating yourself ?

Meghan clearly had first choice of middle name.

A very unsubtle dig at both Charles and Andrew by emphasising the paternity in the name 'Harry's Son'.

It will have been noted and will result in her being squeezed out.

#263 trivia: the lead is playing a Rickenbacker guitar. I played Pete Townsend's, which he smashed into a Marshall amp the same evening. Leicester College of Arts and Tech, May Ball, 1965. I still have my Harmony Stratotone.
