Goes into labour?

You mean, as in doing some work for a change?

Yep, about the join the hallowed ranks of being "the first woman in history...ever !..to have a baby "..other Royals and "celebs" also laying claim to this title...

Meanwhile, in the 20 secs allowed for such trivia.." Iceland launches pre-emptive strike on Iran and Israel ! "....even if they did, the Beeb would ensure said Mother and baby would be the main 29mins 80secs of news.

The downside, as we know, is the slithering out of the Royhaltee Hexparts to offer a rapt nation their detailed analysis of the birth and where said baby stands in the pecking order etc...the event also dredges up the Beebs's Royal Correspondent, who, alas, once found his calling on the banks of Loch Ness....and should have stayed there.

Whoppee do
The Duchess of Sussex has given birth to a boy, the Duke of Sussex has announced.
Prince Harry said they were both "absolutely thrilled" and thanked the public for their support during the pregnancy.
He said Meghan and the baby were doing "incredibly well".
The duke added they were still thinking about names for the infant, who was delivered at 05:26 BST on Monday.
When all else fails, read the instructions.

It's odd that it was born at 0526 and only announced 9 hours later.

They are probably scouring maternity wards for a white or ginger one. I don't suppose any photos will be published until they've swapped it.

First photo released this afternoon, at least they don't have to worry about the 8th in line to the throne having ginger hair.

I wonder what 'advice' was forthcoming from the Firm regarding the announcement (ie the original plan to forego an announcement)?

Since Harry himself took the most popular boys' name at the time, the couple have decided to repeat this and name their son Mohammed.

King Mohammed of England. Ironic. May Allah help us! No doubt Sillidiq Khan is rubbing his greasy hands with glee.

Apparently HMQE2 was seventh in line for the throne when she was born..

Oh my, how to convulse, and not with laughter at the scintillating wit in the form of casual, intrinsic , racism that has emerged with the birth of the baby.

It speaks volumes really, as to the nature of those who decided to attack......an innocent baby.

Well done chaps !...triple hemlocks and arsenic chasers all round !..takes a lot of cool courage to vilify a baby after all. Makes me wonder how many of you have a framed copy of that infamous "No Blacks, No Irish, No dogs " notice hanging in pride of place in your living rooms really.

C4 covered the event with a piece that highlights the effect racist views can have on people and note it was, not unexpectedly, the male of the species opening their vituperative gobs in the case of the lady featured....note also, the thoughtful offering from the cousins during their excursion to these shores...

Her German uncle was an overt Nazi when that was no longer fashionable. That's why he was squeezed out by the deep state and her father took over. That's how the seventh in line became monarch.

The new brat's great-grandmother was inculcated with that stuff, but seems to have got over it.
Image

The brat's father may, or may not, share that gene, but I doubt it. He just does his own thing and gets over it.
Image

Another of the Germans, Philip, had very close family connections with the Nazis at a very high level, but he got over it.
Image

I doubt that this brat will turn out that way. Not genetically anyway.

I think that is highly unlikely that this child is going to be given Royal status. Hope that OM15's photo is correct. Bit of whitewash will be required for the first photos.

Needless to remind everyone that the Royal Family has form in dealing with unwanted offspring (deformities, epilepsy and similar.)

The tower.

Why can't they (She) conform?
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have broken royal protocol throughout their relationship and the birth of their first child was no different.
