You Gov just sent this to subscribers:

France travel advice

5:32pm, 31 December 2018: Summary: Further protests may take place across France linked to the yellow vest (gilets jaunes) movement. This includes, but is not limited to, planned protests on New Years’ Eve. Recent demonstrations have led to violence and extensive damage to property, in Paris and in other towns and cities across the country. Motorists travelling through France may also still experience some delays or blockages caused by local demonstrators – you should drive with caution as some protestors may be based on roads, motorways and toll booths. In all cases, you should avoid any demonstrations if at all possible and follow the advice of the local authorities.

The French are revolting.
?Quoi de neuf?
Plus ca change. Off with his tête (Macron I mean), and death confusion and damnation to our lifelong enemies, those slimy amphibians that live in ponds , dodge soap, and eat garlic.

The problem with guillotining Macron is the identical problem of doing away with May - the replacement. My French friends suggest Fillon, but with pursed lips and indrawn breath....

Macron's NY speech lambasted and denounced protestors and indicated he will undeterred push ahead with reforms (unspoken sidebar: unless the protests get too loud). Methinks Parisians might consider buying a few more smoke alarms.

More riots in Paris yesterday. A rather nice floating restaurant on the Seine opposite the Louvre was set on fire, along with the usual quota of cars and motorbikes.

One does wonder what makes the French want to destroy their own country.
Are they really that stupid?
(Rhetorical question!)

Problem is, Parisians are getting used to it. Shop windows smashed? Shrug. Cars, motorbikes, restaurants in flames ? Shrug. Teargas ? Wipe eyes, then shrug. C'est normal.....shrug.

Wipe eyes?

I suppose Macron's mummy wifey still wipes his arse, and they're following their leader like the dumb shits they are.

Over 60% of all speed cameras in France have now been decommissioned by the Yellow Backs. Sorry, vandalised....

Apparently, the French police will be authorised to arrest people who haven't (yet) committed any offence.
How does that work?

People who appear to be about to commit an offence are quite obvious in France. All police have been issued with an identikit of likely pre-criminals.
