That may be a pretty good tax swindle, but the biggest tax swindle in the history of Europe is the British tax scheme that confiscated estates and landholdings from the old line gentry and nobility of the Kingdom by taxing property to an unsupportable level. The heirs had no choice but to surrender their castles and lands to the State over the last 100 or so years. To me that's an injustice.
If you save and work to accumulate an estate, the government should not be empowered to take it away from you through taxation. I'm less opposed to income taxes, but property taxes mean you can never truly own property, the State does.

...and you didn't even bother to read what was linked to before launching a whataboutery defence. Didn't you vote for someone who claimed to be the law and order candidate?

Well, did the old line gentry do that, or did they just steal it off the peasants in the first place? If you save and work to accumulate an estate,
You cannot have a democracy, or a republic, when people are in thrall to anyone else, whether that be gentry, industrialists, or a socialist state.
By the same argument that any property tax is theft, it follows that everyone must have sufficient land to be genuinely independent.
Given the world's population, it therefore also follows that no-one should have more land than they can work, or is required to support a family unit when members of it cannot* work.
