You need to establish what procedures (if any) are in force for air passengers into Portugal from Spain.

Now, never mind flying - what about other means of travel?

The key to all this is to LIMIT the amount of variant virus that can enter the UK. You will never stop it.

Drive. Frontier is uncontrolled. Or train to Perpignan and drive. No checks anywhere.

Spain has just taken 4000 unaccompanied minors* from Morocco so they will be heading north into France for Germany and the U.K.

* Or they claim to be. With no papers, who can tell. Adults were sent back.

I was asking about the border between Spain and Portugal? Do you have any information?

BOAC For some reason that gave me views of Mad Matt Hancock and professor Whitless running about with butterfly nets trying to capture any variant virus that tried to get into the UK and placing them in jam jars.

Catalan TV said this morning 8,000 crossed into Spain, 4,000 unacompanied minors were allowed to stay. One grateful youth handed food by a red cross worker said it's great, "in Morocco nobody gives us anything." Starting his stay in the EU off in the right way.

This morning's French TV said 400 unacompanied minors. So number is between 400 and Spanish TV's 4,000. Oh! French TV said another 1,000 unaccompanied minors are roaming the streets.

The first cruise liner to arrive at Palma de Mallorca in twelve months has been detained there as they've found five cases of CV on board.

Apologies for not getting it quite right, but news item scrolled across the TV screen and wasn't repeated. Then I had to rush off into the bathroom. When I returned the wife had jobs for me....

Catalunia is allowing restaurants to stay open until 01:00 to prevent "botellons", young people in their hundreds walking up and down drinking from bottles. That isn't going to work. People who like walking up and down drinking from bottles, often until three or four a. m., are not going to sit at restaurants.

It was yesterday, and yes the only side effect was very minor pain at the injection point, but since we are both habitually bumping into things, falling over, climbing loose boulder-strewn hill sides, and so on, it was just one small hardly-noticed thing.

Our problem will be getting certificates of vaccination as ours were al fresco ex system. Mr Computer knows we've been done but the paperwork doesn't.

I must admit I caused some consternation, nay panic, when I dropped my trousers and shreddies and bent over the desk, before realising everyone else in the room was getting it in the biceps...
