Re: Are the Police fit for purpose
Why?
You left-leaning folks have a mental illness.
You are wrong about nearly everything, including that which is blindingly obvious to a four year old.
Anyway, during the intervening minutes, I have brought my wife a cup of what she calls 'bed tea'.
And about the murder of this poor woman by the Cops, not a word....

Your political inclinometer is seriously out of adjustment (and not just that......).

Re: Are the Police fit for purpose
Well, let's just say our inclinometers don't align then.
You are a lefty, like TGG and I'm not.
I don't think it constitutes an offence, but give it another few years of the pish we are forced to wade through these days, and it might well be.

Re: Are the Police fit for purpose
Wrong again. You need to see if you can work out why make a habit of it. There may be treatment.

Re: Are the Police fit for purpose
No Boac.
It's you who is mistaken.
There are ever more severe restrictions on what any of us can say these days, a very worrying trend imho.
There are also, thanks to our woke left wing society, viewpoints which are 'clearly unacceptable'. My sceptical view on AGW for example, labels me as a 'climate denier' - most folk with similar views find it easier to just keep Schtum. Another is race- you can praise multiculturalism as much as you want, but expect to take flak if you express a contrary view.
Lecturers with non-mainstream views are de-platformed at universities ffs, lest some student might take offence.
The trend is only going in one direction. State control of speech, opinion and in the end, thought.

Re: Are the Police fit for purpose
In Scotland, my home Country, stating that women are people who have a cervix, is now hate speech. Scotland is being poisoned to death by the left.
Re: Are the Police fit for purpose
AK, you can gain solace from the fact that the left, despite their loud insults and abuse (or possibly because of it) are clearly in the minority. Unfortunately you can only view the UK through the media, if you lived here you would see that most people are anti woke, anti leftie, anti Greta Thing, anti BBC and most definitely anti Labour.
Except in Scotland which as you say has disappeared down the pan.

I despair of my own homeland, but it definitely gets less annoying when you get HMRC's hand out your pocket!

The Bull Dyke Dick should be in prison for the murder of the Brazilian electrician.
She should have got a life sentence without parole for at least 30 years.

Wonder how much evidence she has gathered in her previous job,or this one for that matter, to ensure anyone in authority who could fire her would risk it it.

Good luck to anyone trying to flag down a bus after 6.00pm in this town (Grantham - name added for Boac's benefit. )

Re: Are the Police fit for purpose
Plenty of clues in other posts by PN and myself of our whereabouts.
Still, you were only about 60 miles out.

Re: Are the Police fit for purpose
There was a reason................
Re: Are the Police fit for purpose
The 'precautions' being suggested to avoid a repeat of the Sarah Everard case wouldn't appear to have helped in the Everard case.
Sarah was approached by a police officer who showed his warrant card before handcuffing her - so she was unable to 'physically defend' herself.
If she believed that she had been legally arrested then she would have been compliant (initially).

PC David Carrick, 46, of Stevenage, was charged with rape by Hertfordshire Constabulary on Sunday.
A Met Policeman and in the same unit as Couzens, I understand. Anyone see a problem here? Dick, Bojo.....?

Welcome to Stasi-land in 2022;
https://dailysceptic.org/2022/11/12/pol ... reporting/
I will agree stop giving them attention and the “oxygen of publicity” as it only encourages these twerps to try more outrageous stunts.
I’d say leave them up there on the suspension bridge, traffic lane overhead gantry or wherever until lack of food & water or the desire to piss/dump modestly forces them down into the arms of one (shift-working) cop waiting at ground level to arrest etc.
The sight of one lone protester on a traffic gantry being observed by many plod sez much about the senior cop management handling of such attention seekers.
Yes, they might drop onto unsuspecting motorist and cause chaos and casualties but on UK roads we are frequently warned about debris on the road and presumably proceed at our free will, with caution, having been advised and therefore there should be no legal comeback on the traffic managers if some oik manages to submit to gravity.
They’ll only do it once and please MSM stop showing some ‘tearful’ snowflake self filming their exploits about how terrified they are at the prospect of getting roasted alive by the sun in a few years time, after which they remove the onion which produced the tears in the first place.
