In between his heavy schedule of trying to overthrow democracy and ignore the referendum results the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has found time in his busy agenda to spend five minutes addressing the inconvenience of a murder a day by stabbing in London.
He has initiated a "Violence Reduction Unit" ( some may think that it might better to have a Violence Elimination Unit), instead of appointing someone who could do the job, someone with training, experience and a professional background in crime prevention, he has chosen a left wing politician called Ms Lib Peck.

Ms Peck studied Modern History and Politics at the University of Manchester, and is a women's and human rights advocate. Her complete unfitness for the job is demonstrated that by the fact that Peck was appointed executive member for crime and public protection at London Councils in 2014, her track record is evident by the lack of public protection that ensued.

They certainly do......lets start with the votes in 2016 and the current incumbent in a "des res " on Penn.Ave.

You also seem to forget, as do many Brits, those "halcyon days " when Boris was Mayor......Boris being first and foremost concerned with himself and his aspirations.

Thankfully, I don't reside anywhere near the dump and only visit when compelled to do so....such as last year when I joined a million or so others protesting about the arrival of the most deranged man in the world to our shores.

In what way does that make him different from any other politician?

The primary function, aim, and target of any politician is to stay in power. Anyone thinking a politician is there to carry out the wishes of the electorate should grow up. Any action of a politician which proves beneficial to the public is purely coincidental.

I had no idea that Yung Phat Phuk or Robbing Mugape had visited the UK and I do wonder who 'compelled' him to visit London. He must be very easily led .... of course, being a socialist that goes without saying.

Sadly, and hardly setting a precedent here, your assessment is wrong. Nothing to do with the politics whatsoever......I formed this impression when I first graciously alighted at Euston and thence to Marylebone at the same time as yourself.

Over the years, I've had the misfortune to visit quite a bit of North / West / South London and never been remotely impressed. Over priced, over hyped and ostensibly the centre of the known world, even the Met Hoffice has the dump as their default setting on their website, plus, it only snows in the UK when it snows on London !

Thankfully, the rest of the UK, including Scotland, Wales and NI ( but excluding Yorkshire, and the infernal triangle of Wolves, Brum and Coventry ..even we Guardian readers have our limits ) offers considerably more geographical, social and cultural diversity.

Mind you coming from Manchester, I suppose it's fair to say I don't really take too kindly to moaning Southern gits anyway.
