The classic French resistance cry:
"Notre meilleur table, meine Herren!"
when it was in fact only the second best table in the house.... ;)))

and their favoured weapon..

OFSOs heading for Paris where Saturday riots already started. Africans demanding right to stay. Police using year gas.

Let me say it one more time: Cut off the welfare to save your country. That applies to all of us.

Macron organised a superb military parade for Bastille Day. Merkel there (looking shakey). Tanks, planes, choppers, marching army. Glorious spectacle of French power. An hour later cars, shops and trees were on fire as the gilets noir moved in to wreak destruction on the Champs Elysees. Running battles with SDECE police, many injured on both sides. 150 arrests.

Is this a variation on Mad Cow Disease?!

I suppose the Frog farmers will be demanding compensation from anyone fool enough to listen to this fairy tale.

This isn't just chaos, it's a frickin' tragedy. :(

Topless sunbathing falls out of vogue among French women.

Going topless means different things in different cultures. I remember in 1995 laying on Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, when my girlfriend, now my wife of 25 years, started to peel off her top. "You can't do that here", I told her. It may have been her first lesson on American culture. At the time she'd had about two weeks total in the States.

Years later I went to the beach at Stes. Maries de la Mer in Camargue, South of Arles France along with an air force friend and his wife. That beach was pretty much all topless and it seemed like my friend's wife couldn't wait to show off her upper half. Out of courtesy, as I was his commander, they asked if I minded. I didn't.

Maybe it is a preparation a transition if you want to a new set of rules brought by the newly arrived guests - they are based in Calais but they can be found anywhere.

Some of the 'topless' sights seen on beaches are best not seen.

Post by Honest John, Motoring Section, Daily Telegraph today. He is receiving e-mails reporting speeding tickets from France (presumably tickets also for other offences) being received by UK drivers who have been there recently and not so recently. He has information that French judiciary and police are bankrupt and turning every screw they can to receive money from transgressors. The OFSO's are frequently in France and checking their letterbox regularly.
