Reminds me of the question addressed to Thurber as to whether a man could love his dog more than his wife..

The batty step mother I was talking about had gone off to meet Thurber in the USA, who had actually died, 2 days before she met him, and 6 months before she met my, **** father, in Paris...

Weird, eh, it has been a strange day..!

I blame boing for it all... :ymdevil:

From the dark blue jobs.

Come cheer up, my lads! 'tis to glory we steer,
To add something more to this wonderful year;
To honour we call you, not press you like slaves,
For who are so free as the sons of the waves?

Chorus:
Heart of oak are our ships, heart of oak are our men;
We always are ready, steady, boys, steady!
We'll fight and we'll conquer again and again.

Steady, boys, steady!

.
the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible.

But, Sir, you have foresworn the English way, to live, like a savage, with the Colonists... :p

My usual complaint. French restricted where they can go and what do, but border open so they just drive down into Spain where they do what they want, happy as pigs in sh*t, infecting the honest Spanish. (Surely shome mistake?)

Getting as far as here too, some frogs bought off one of our neighbours but haven't visited in the last year, suddenly, yesterday the shutters were open and they must have driven down. I am noticing cars passing that are not the regulars too.

France goes into four weeks of lockdown, starting Saturday. Gives them to reposition on Good Friday and stay where they are until May. .

Bet their lockdown doesn't stop the cross-channel rubber boat club.

Macron specifically said that the delay in implementing lockdown is to permit French citizens to travel to locations where they want to spend lockdown. A coach load of French was turned back by Spanish police at the La Jonquera border crossing on Tuesday because some of the passengers were using fake negative CV results.
