Re: Chaos in Scotland.
Although I stand by my post above, I should add some facts I've since learned, none of which of course take away the fact that he has been acquitted.
1. Of the thirteen charges, he got not guilty for 12 and not proven for 1.
2. He admitted that 6 of the "assaults " took place- his defence was "consent".
3. Of the 12 not guilty verdicts, none was unanimous.
But like I said, he's not guilty.
In my view there's much too many women around who need to be a little less precious.

Thank the Lord for the Coronavirus outbreak!!
Just the excuse they need to postpone Indyref2 and call for Brexit to be delayed as well?
Maybe they were landing Wuhan bat soup supplies at Glasgow docks specifically for this aim?!
Or maybe the Jockistan variation on this delicious delicacy was deep-fried bat.

Re: Chaos in Scotland.
The latest from MSM re Covid-19 deaths in Scotland are reporting between 39% and now in excess of 50% are from care homes alone.
Not good news for Wee Krankie as she tries to outperform Westminster in her handling of the pan(dem)ic?
I note that since oil prices dropped through the floor Indyref2 seems to have got lost as well!

Re: Chaos in Scotland.
She just needs to wait until Tony Hancock comes clean on the ACTUAL number of deaths in England cf the number of HOSPITAL deaths and then I fear the pressure will be off. He 'admitted' the number was still rising yesterday.

Re: Chaos in Scotland.
Applications are invited from suitable applicants, preferably with military sharpshooting and/or sniper skills, for the position of Border Force Guards to man the Berwick-on-Tweed to Solway Firth Border. (Am I allowed to say 'man'?)
Successful candidates will be given suitable training and a generous salary and benefits package;
This may be a short term contract but opportunities will be offered for duties on the English Channel coast at a later date...

Re: Chaos in Scotland.
I listened to wee Jimmy Krankie in the pygmy parliament today, describing the convoluted differences between the unlockdown in Scotland as against the mainstream British ones.
An absurdity in a similar speech she made, with subsequent 'clarifications' and other flipflops, three weeks ago, was that household visits were to be limited to 5 miles, for no apparent reason or scientific explanation.
Today she came up with this absolute corker: (from the official transcript, with my emphasis)
In deciding when to implement each measure,
we have tried to reach a reasonable order of
priority, and to think about the various
interdependencies—that is, about how a decision
that we take in one area affects life in other areas.
All of that said, I readily acknowledge how difficult
this is. There is no perfect route out of lockdown.
All approaches and any approach that we take will
have risks. What we are trying to do is manage
and mitigate those risks as far as we possibly can.
Because of that, we have decided that, during
phase 2, we will continue to ask people, as far as
possible, to stay within or close to their local area.
Our ambition is to be in a position to lift that
restriction in phase 3 and in good time for the
proposed resumption of tourism from 15 July.
However, at this stage, for leisure and recreation
purposes, we are asking people not to travel more
than around 5 miles or so from their home—
although I stress that that does not apply to
meeting family and friends.
So, she's now saying that there's a five mile limit on a car journey if you're going to do a solitary pursuit, such as standing up to yer oxters in a salmon river casting a fly, or climbing a rockface, but no distance limit if you're going to make whoopee with 7 chums! There's something profoundly illogical about that.

Re: Chaos in Scotland.
Wee nippysweetiebitch is a follower, not a leader. A laggardly follower.
She's now got herself into a position of having to plead with the Scottish people not to go on holiday to England.
Her policy of trying to differentiate Scotland from England by following Boris with an echo-delay of a week or two has backfired and now she just looks stupid. Expect her to soon back-pedal on her rules that she made a couple of weeks ago.
I'm seriously considering driving to Carlisle to get a haircut! I'll be buying several cases of booze while I'm there as there's a massive price differential between Scottish and English prices as the nanny State here in Jockistan dictates the prices that shops must charge. Cider, for example, is two or three times the price in Scotland as it is in England.

Re: Chaos in Scotland.
Plum. Here’s a possible solution (no pun intended!) to your ongoing booze-budgeting problems which I understand will continue into the future regardless of Covid precautions.
https://www.lovebrewing.co.uk/still-spirits/
Regarding the necessity to obtain a licence I would be minded to ignore that bureaucracy as the “Duty Men” are probably too busy working out who is distilling hand sanitiser and who is producing hooch and Jockistan Plod are also undermanned and preoccupied with shouting at sunbathers and outdoors activities innocents and combing the i’net for hate crime perpetrators.
Presumably since the ABV tax was introduced up there the southern Scottish booze retailers and wholesalers have noticed a reduction in takings and the northern England ones are banking the results with glee?
The Welsh are suffering from a similar syndrome of “let’s do something different about Covid from that Westminster mob” as my SiL in Monmouthshire regularly complains about the latest edict from their charisma bypass Viet-Taff leader who also mysteriously maintains a 5 statute mile radius for a predominantly rural country.

Re: Chaos in Scotland.
I wish it was a tax, but it's not. If it was a tax we'd be able to ringfence it and pass the proceeds directly to NHS Scotland.barkingmad wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2020 8:34 amPresumably since the ABV tax was introduced up there the southern Scottish booze retailers and wholesalers have noticed a reduction in takings and the northern England ones are banking the results with glee?
Instead it's absurd piece of micromanaging of commerce by the Nationalist/Socialist Partei which is a dead ringer for the absurdities of Socialism when we had a Prices Minister (Shirley Williams) who set the individual prices of every item in every supermarket in the UK.
Now she's an academic at some Ivy League university or other. I wonder if she ever tells her studes that she once had that power over 50,000,000 people. I wonder if they would believe her if she described such nuttiness.
If the wee Natties were going to do any good, they should ban Buckfast (aka fast buck). It's the scourge of lowland urban Scotland. It's made by monks ferfuxsake. Vast profits go to the Church of Rome. They buy the cheapest red wine in great bulk; add raw wood alcohol to it to 'fortify' it; then add caffeine extract to turn it into the hominid equivalent of rocket fuel. Lowlifes in shellsuits buy it in huge quantities; get blutered, aggressive and violent.
I think they should ban Buckfast and unban weed. I've never heard of a fight breaking out among people high on weed. They just giggle and find inner meaning in Moody Blues and Neil Young and Pink Floyd music and lyrics.

Re: Chaos in Scotland.
Sitting in the cab of my big tractor, wrapping tractor eggs so that they'll last from now to beyond next Easter and will get better and better like a good wine, I needed both feet and all three hands and quite a few neurons to achieve the task.
Nevertheless, I listened to the live broadcast of Wee Jimmy Krankie in the pygmy parliament doing that Chump-like flipflop thing and self-contradicting and doing as many flipflops as Chump or as a fish in a boat.
I couldn't make written notes, and I'm not at all sure that I should believe my ears, so I'll go and look at the Hollyrude equivalent of Hansard before spluttering my response here.
****q!!! Ooops, did I say that out loud?

I don't need weed to appreciate that stuff. I've got Mac30 and way more than half a century of memories.

I am sure you can find a contemplative state on Buckfast. I blame the monks more than Timothy Leary for the loss of my mind, although look what alcohol and LSD did to R D Laing!
