Back into a mainland lockdown from midnight until at least the end of January. Wonder if dentists will still operate - am due to have a badly broken but painless tooth out on the 14th. I was wondering how I could get out of it, maybe this is the perfect opportunity!

........meanwhile we Sassenachs have the pleasure of an 'address' by Bonking Boris tonight at 2000 - difficult to contain my excitement - the only query is which address will he use - Barnard Castle, Downing Street...................?

Presumably, as ever, catching up with Scotland.

Yes, but we won't, 'cos Starmer told him he should do it, so Mr Fudge will declare something OTHER than a National Lockdown - until next week. What a tosser.

As for BM, perhaps we should start a collection for him? Psychiatric help, nursing, you know - free rubber bed sheets? Poor fellow had to get Auntie Alison to show him how to use 'search'. :)) Stony ground, indeed.

As if Jockistan hasn’t got enough problems :D
Plane Sightings Fuel Rumors Trump Planning Escape to Scotland on Day Before Biden Inauguration
Prestwick airport has been told to expect the arrival of a U.S. military Boeing 757 plane, one that has reportedly been used by Trump before, on Jan. 19.
When all else fails, read the instructions.

And they think that Scotland won't send him back to face the music? I guess they could put him in jail as a flight risk if he turns up, then charge him lots of money for a better cell.

If he did run, would his secret service agents be obliged to stay with him, or is he on his own at that point?

As an ex-President, don't the Secret Service still look after him.

If he wants to come to Scotland, I'm sure Wee Krankie could find him some Covid-free accommodation on, say, Garvie Island or Gruinard or the socially distanced Rockall.

That's the point - if he ended up a fugitive from justice, couldn't they just bundle him on a convenient rendition flight and take him back to the US? At what point is it OK for the US taxpayer to be paying to protect someone who's wanted by the law? He's entitled to protection for life, but if he's in a jail cell then that alters the planning somewhat.

There's always North Korea.
No extradition treaty with US and a bromance with Little Un.

The mad, seditious, sociopath has only 15 days left to try and pardon himself! I suspect that if he does, he will have to be careful which US states he enters thereafter. He might find he has to hang out in Hilly Billy country making good gigging frogs with some of his natural supporters, or find a job as a golf bag carrier at one of his erstwhile resorts in Scotland, which will soon become Deutsche Bank property if and when he defaults on his loans, assuming he can't find any more suckers (of which there are many) in the USA to fund him and his criminal enterprise.

In viewtopic.php?f=64&t=4200&p=269972#p269944 I labelled Bonking Boris as a 'tosser' because he would not impose a 'National Lockdown' for the reasons given. I have to partially eat my mouse droppings now since he does appear to have partially taken note of what Starmer and Ferguson and the unions and SAGE and the medics and the parents and the press and Uncle Tom Cobley called for, (although merely 'tweaking' Tier 4) so consider BoJo to be semi de-tossered.

More sedative, nurse, for BM......................quickly!

I'm astonished that I find myself in agreement with Sturgeon and Boris and Starmer, but I do agree with them all that this uncomfortable and economically damaging return to semi-lockdown is necessary.

I just hope that when it is eventually relaxed the **** don't repeat the mistake of bribing people to go out and spread the infection in pub-restaurants. That act of insanity quite certainly cost hundreds or thousands of lives and pretty much guaranteed the huge surge in cases would occur. I also hope they don't make the nutty mistake of having differing Tiers or Levels in adjacent contiguous counties. That had a similarly predictable effect.

boac sez of me: "Poor fellow had to get Auntie Alison to show him how to use 'search'."

Now you're just making things up as part of your teasing!

Chaos in USA post # 1372 refers, for those here who might be bored enough to follow the ramblings of our favourite ex-Lightning jock.

I am glad that folks here are getting innocent amusement from my rantings.

It's probably just as well that Wee Jimmy Krankie has suspended the schools for a few weeks.

Here, for our members lucky enough to live in Jockistan, is the URL for the form by which you may snitch on your neighbours or anyone else threatening National Security north of Carter Bar.

https://www.scotland.police.uk/secureforms/covid19/

Of course they may also reporting you at this very moment, so Happy New Year to y'all up there! :YMPARTY: :O3
