Good bye to the annoying basturt Blackford. Describing himself as a 'humble crofter' he was in fact born in Edinburgh and had a twenty year career in finance. He gained his seat after a particularly vicious campaign against Charles Kennedy, which no doubt hastened Kennedy's demise from the bottle. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... s-perfomer I wonder if anyone will miss his presence at Westminster. Maybe Wee Krankie will join him in well deserved oblivion soon, but I suspect that like certain other things they would both float to the surface again.

Don't you pity him? After all he's only a humble wee crofter who is probably, as we speak, trudging his weary way north on the road to Skye to go and cut a few peats to put on his fire to warm his weary old bones during the long winter to come. (Cue hysterical laughter)
Having last week lowered my B-i-L into a bitterly cold Highland graveyard, who really was a humble crofter who spent most of his working life on the financial bones of his arse, my sympathy for Blackford doesn't even extend as far as I can spit.
Not only that, I caught a deep chill which has affected me badly all this week with a complete loss of Monday. Very discombobulating it has been and just a tad worrying.

Crank the heating up Rossian and keep it up until you feel warm again. Getting really chilled with lower core temperature is no joke, let alone when we are up in years! Sorry to hear about your b-i-l .

After gentle hints fom my wife and with rather more overt nagging from my son, I did, this evening return a positive Covid test - bollocks. As he said "at least you now know why you feel like *****".

To paraphrase a bit of Oscar Wilde on the death of little Nell "one would have to have a heart of stone on hearing of the departure of Mr Ian Blackford MP not to burst into tears - of hysterical laughter.

Any chance of getting Paxlovid or any other anti-virials? :-?
Anyway, get better soon!

I reckon that the first symptom was not properly waking up on Monday, not eating and not drinking. Not until I opened up this PC when I woke up feeling OK-ish and saw the time stamp at the bottom "Tuesday!? Tuesday!? what the hell happened to Monday?" I didn't eat for 40 hours and only had sips of water from my wife. So if that was day1 I'm almost done with the self isolating bit by tomorrow. But I'll still be limiting my mixing as a social citizen. I haven't felt this bad since Pontius was a pilot. Not in a rush to have it again.

If you think that was bad, wait until you contract the unCovid flu that is going around. Lasts for weeks for some folk.

Thank you all for your concern. Today I will mark as a good day on the mend. Good breakfast of porage honey and milk, a bit later some toast marmalade and tea. Lunch of homemade tomato soup, bread, cheese and pickle. Dinner of a sort of sausage casserole with onion, peppers and tomatoes. A T. Escos sticky toffee pudding and icecream. A glass of Sicilian red. And the world is beginning to seem a better place. A good night's sleep will complete the picture, DV and/or Inshallah (whichever invocation suits you.)

Oh and ,yes, I was covid positive yesterday evening. Bollocks.

I will raise your grossly disrespectful picture with another example of artificial hirsuteness north of the Carter Bar border post;

https://www.scottishdailyexpress.co.uk/ ... s-28823753

One further example, before I go throw up, is this cunning stunt of a change to the English language by Police Scotland's Chief Constable Iain Livingstone, the sort of chap who will ensure all Jocks can sleep easy in their beds, safe from crime blah blah;

https://www.scottishdailyexpress.co.uk/ ... e-28841534

"Peepul of Scotland, we are with you in your hour of need!"

Are the Jocks revolting against their Supreme Leaderene and will such violence spill southwards into Sassenach territory?

https://www.aol.co.uk/news/man-threaten ... 27205.html

If the story is true, why would the peasants be sooh angry with Wee Krankie and who will pay for her upgraded security?

Answers on the usual grain of wheat, if you can find any... =))

Holyrood needs a new heating system. After 20 years the old system is worn out. I've seen estimates of two to four million pounds for replacement. Oh well, Scotland has the money, doesn't it....

A Taste of the Future?

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... urvey.html

Now Nicola Sturgeon's SNP plans to ask SEVEN-year-olds if they are 'male, female, non-binary, transgender or other' in school survey branded 'disgraceful' and 'indoctrination'

There certainly is 'chaos' in the Scottish government and dear Nicola seems to have her (strictly female) knickers in a wee twist. The 'rapist' in the news - Adam Graham - aka Isla Bryson - apparently has not LEGALLY changed gender, but it was deemed to be a jolly good idea tp place this man (who has raped two women) in a women's prison simply because he says he is now a woman.

I gather she was unable to answer the question in parliament as to what this person's gender was.

I reckon there might be more work to do........................ =))
