Btw Ben, you shouldn't post. You are an idiot, and whatever thoughts you have should not be promulgated. You are an example of the American idiot.
AtomKraft, I think you have some anger issues as your post would suggest. I'm not an idiot, but one who has views unaligned with yours. Your disparaging remark is out of line.

I don't always agree with Ben's views but to call him an 'idiot' for his well expressed and well thought out views is wrong.

He has every right to express his views, albeit that they disagree with yours or mine. What's more is that unlike some, they are his views, not blindly and repeatedly cut and pasted from other media.

And often totally uninformed by incontrovertible fact!

Cape, I know you're a buddy, but your last post didn't translate. Can you enlighten me?

Caco, often what you regard as incontrovertible facts are not so. If they were, there would be no discussion.

The race under discussion, along with their Moslem "brethern" and various hot countries inhabitants and Caucasian westerners continue the practice of MGM without medical justification.

Lotsa noise about FGM, one successful UK prosecution but not a lot of fuss over the GM of innocent male babies.

A key difference between circumcision and clitorectemy is that primary sexual organs are not rendered in the former. Further, circumcision has a basis, theoretically perhaps, in hygiene. FGM's motive is the suppression of sexual desire and the subjugation of females.

They're usually both performed on youngsters or infants without informed consent = child abuse.

Circumcision removes a significant amount of nerve endings ergo less pleasure for the unfortunate victims when they reach that later age/stage.

Try persuading 18/21 year-olds to opt for a no anaesthetic circumcision and see how many volunteer.

Yes there are a few ops required for 4skin problems such as phimosis and similar, but not in the numbers practising it for "religious" reasons.

Most of us aren't living in the desert with the problems of cleanliness and hygiene so I don't buy that excuse.

Both forms of GM are actual and grievous bodily harm inflicted on innocent youngsters as a result of some deviant obsession with the genitals of the young and we all know how that is perceived.

I don't have a dog in this fight. My father was not circumcised but elected to have me snipped. I have no recollection, and since I have grown up as a circumcised male, it's the only life I've ever known. While I can't comment on the ecstasy uncircumcised males experience, I'm fairly pleased with the experiences I've had with my altered physiology - no real complaints. Also, I never had to deal with 'Moby Dick', a horrible infection turning your tender tissue green, with copious pus, excruciating itching, and if left to fester, utter destruction of your reproductive capacity. No thanks.

One has a quick squiz at OpsN before one goes to bed, and a quick squiz when one is eating brekky - in the meantime 3 feckin pages :-ss Certainly a case of “light the blue touch paper and retire”.

At the end of the day people are people, good, bad and indifferent. You couldn’t slide a piece of tissue paper between a traditional Jewish person or a Palestinian - they’re both arab, just different religions.

Peace and love, pass me another choirboy, and exterminate that mob over there would you? ~X(

I was cut just after birth for hygiene reasons and my pecker is in perfect working order. Same was done to my son 10 years ago. I have no recollection of the event and neither does Andrew.

What's the prob anyway? Is it some latest PC "don't cut dicks!" thing?

I just don't see any reason to cut off a rather personal, and highly valued piece of one's anatomy.

I'm grateful to my mum, who insisted my banana was left as manufactured.👍

I agree there's probably no downside, but why the hell would you want to?

Any downside is very likely to be more significant than any upside!

I take it you wouldn't be in favour of body piercing then ?

It seems to be overdone in the UK these days.

Especially as the tool of choice seems to be a kitchen knife.

Any kind of body mutilation is bound to have repercussions later.

When I was an OC Personnel Management Squadron my flight lieutenant Personal Services Flight was the son of a hereditary peer and was a smart cookie. One day he stood in front of me and the sun coming in through the window just managed to catch him at the right angle. "Have you had your ears pierced Dave?" I asked. He became very embarrassed and confessed that he'd had them done as a 15 year old. He made Air Vice and I often wondered whether any of his other bosses noticed it.

Krystal.
When you were in the forces did they send you on a special (needs) course on getting the wrong end of every stick?

You really haven't got a fecking clue, on a surprisingly wide range of subjects.

It's impressive, in a sort of unimpressing way.

Keep going though, if you live long enough, you're bound to get something right eventually.

It might be a while yet mind...👌

Re piercing, not really fussed either way, but I don't have any.
