Chaos in the UK

#1 Post by Sisemen » Sat Apr 27, 2019 2:15 pm

Maybe a generalised thread on the almost complete dysfunction and chaos of the dying days of May’s Government and the traditional two party politics is needed.

Consider this:

The import is huge if the UK is excluded from the Alliance.

I don't want to be bracketed with K&C for any reason but why does nobody ever mention the penetration by the US of the British MI's ? Is it because the USA are our 'allies' and thus unlike the dread Chinee not considered a threat to our security. Personally I suspect the GB Ltd has been penetrated by most of the world in every secret orifice possible.

Mirrors reflecting mirrors reflecting mirrors.

a. The UK still, despite its turmoil, has probably the best "boots on the ground" intelligence network in the alliance.
b. Assuming that the Huawei equipment can, in fact, phone home what better way of supplying misleading information to an opponent. If the operator of a spying network can't guarantee that the information it is receiving is valid the system is useless. Research the Zimmerman Telegram.
c. The critical information in the worst leaks does not come from telecommunications. The communications provide the clues for where to look, people generally provide the actual data.
In the case of the US. (Quotes from Wikipadia).

Katrina Leung
She was alleged by the United States Government to have contaminated twenty years of intelligence relating to the People's Republic of China, as well as critically compromising the FBI's Chinese counterintelligence program.
Chi Mak
American citizen who worked as an engineer for California-based defense contractor Power Paragon, a part of L-3 Communications.[2] In 2007, Mak was found guilty of conspiring to export sensitive defense technology to China.
Glenn Duffie Shriver
an American convicted of conspiracy to spy for China. He was depicted in the FBI-commissioned film Game of Pawns.
Noshir Gowadia
a design engineer and convicted spy for several countries. He became one of the creators of the B-2 Spirit stealth bomber during his career at Northrop Corporation but was arrested in 2005 on espionage-related Federal charges.
.
the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible.

I am not sure penetration its the right word.

I can't remember the occasion but I think it was a visit by US officials out some nature to Waddington in the late sixties. I had to prepare an extremely detailed brief with a minutae of information including sensitive detail that surprised me. This at a time when we had GUARD - not for dissemination to US.

Conversely we enjoyed access to the SAC bunker when few had access to the Bomber Command bunker.

The problem with a less than 100% secure communication system is that people will use the insecure portion of it works. Where we had extremely secure but restrictive systems people would use a less secure but simpler system when they could.

Nothing sensitive should be said in clear on the radio- which is all a mobile phone is. Yes I know it's encrypted, but still.

For the authorities, it's easier to intercept mobile phone calls where they hit the network backbone than decrypt the over-the-air data stream. Although some time back it was shown that GSM encryption was a lot weaker than the numbers on the tin because a whole bunch of bits of the keys were zero.

I bet he’s quaking in his boots =))
Russia must end its "irresponsible and destabilising activity", Theresa May has told President Vladimir Putin in one-to-one talks, Downing Street said.

Immigration Minister: Mr Cape Tonian
I would immediately declare my position redundant by stopping 99% of all immigration.
I would then declare myself Minister of Emigration and Deportation, and set about emptying the country of most immigrants and all invaders.

Wasn't there a scheme whereby 'immigrants' were offered a 'bounty' to leave Britain?
What happened to that?

I think we should be told . . .

Cricket being on the long and growing list of things in which I have 0 interest, I won't be. I happen to know Headingley is Leeds, and probably mostly Indians - they are fine people and I would exempt most of them from my ***** list.
