Human Rights Watch has reverse-engineered how the Chinese Police mass surveillance app works.

The platform targets 36 types of people for data collection, from those who have "collected money or materials for mosques with enthusiasm," to people who stop using smartphones.
Needless to say, just about everything in both intelligence gathering and subsequent actions is in breach of all Chinese government assurances to the contrary, and the UDHR.

And remember, the Chinese steal most of their 'new' ideas from elsewhere, especially the US.

'We' might not like the idea of Big Brother monitoring our every move, but when something bad shop we expect the police to check DNA databases, APNR camera systems, credit card usage, mobile cell phone tracks etc.

I can monitor my Sat Nav to track my car. I can get my laotop camera to take a picture.
