Alison needs to change the title to add:
After Boris
That should run

I wouldn’t get your hopes up to muchIt's time for leavers and remainers to put their differences aside for a while and let Boris do his best.
When all else fails, read the instructions.

OM15 - thanks for posting the link to that talking bag of shite's article in the Grauniad - it didn't help the wheaties go down at all well here. Do any of the right wing papers print this sort of regurgitated bile stuff?
At what stage will the Remain camp say "fair enough, the game's up, we've lost, let's get on with helping our country make the best of it"? No time soon I suspect! I'm not a big Boris fan but he's now running the show and let's hope he does a better job than 'Call Me Dave' and 'Mother Theresa'. I don't think anyone could do a worse job than May and I hope Johnson stamps firmly on all her legacy spending like you would an infestation of cockroaches - she doesn't deserve a 'legacy'.

Re: This is a poll. Who will be UK's next PM?
I have spent the evening gleaning the news and key players reactions, the Channel 4 drama queens ratcheting up the impossibility of it all, and the warm endorsements from Mr Trump may be rather two edged in some opinions.
All in all I think that we may be facing chaos with a capital F.
I understand that the cabinet had a whip round and bought her a handbag for six hundred quid or so, the money could have been better spent on a one way ticket to the Falklands.

Kate Hoey was also attacked by this swivel eyed, virtue signalling monkey of the Polly Toybean persuasion: https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfr ... -brexiteer , actively encouraged by a 'newspaper' that seems to be aiming to appeal to Momentum more than it appeals to both rational thinking left and right wing citizens and whose circulation is deservedly failing. Hoey's apparent sin - trying to see both sides of the argument - boo, hiss, traitor! Come on Guardian - raise your standards higher - the country needs a balanced press.

I recommend the Daily Mail online, especially the comments section

Conversation with JuniorWoody on the way to school this morning.
“ Dad, when does Boris become Prime Minister?”
“ This afternoon, when he goes to Buckingham Palace “
“ Can we catch tonight’s flight to Cape Town?”
JuniorWoody is 13

I hope no one considers slimey Phil for a K or higher. IMNSHO May's mistake, and I think the pundits agree, was picking a balanced cabinet or remainers and leavers. The ship of State was like a ship with two independent rudder each countering the other.

I couldn't agree with you more, but it seems to be the same with so many online warriors whenever they are given the opportunity. None of the newspapers seem to regulate the extreme elements.
We'll just have to wait and see whether Johnson suffers the same fate as Napoleon, after his hundred days!

Re: This is a poll. Who will be UK's next PM?
The lefties are going nuts about BoJo being PM, e.g.
They are swinging further left and being more open about it by the hour.
It's just like American democrats after Trump got elected. If at first you fail dismally, triple down on the same methods.
It'll make them unelectable for a decade. At least.
It is a beautiful thing
and his rumoured appointments (e.g. Dominic Cummings) are driving them further into apoplexy.the clown is crowned as the country burns in hell

The lefties are proving everything they're accused of, bad losers when democracy doesn't go their way, etc.

Come on Fox.
The Tories have been eating each other alive for decades over Europe. The last three PMs were victims of it.
It was a boil that had to be lanced, thus the referendum- although naked opportunism on Cameron's part was also a factor.
We started off on the wrong foot with Europe thanks to bloody Heath, and the pressure just built from there. Screw the lid on ever tighter, and the bang comes later......but louder.
Anyway, the end neareth....

And they're off, the new team starting this afternoon, here is the new PM speech, I will set aside my rather jaundiced view and support the tone and content of this speech, lets keep everything crossed for better times ahead

I look forward to seeing his ministerial list. That's going to give some clue. Hopefully it's going to be full of Leavers with a couple of token Remainers because it's unwise to completely surround yourself with sycophants.. None of this balanced crap, he's got a job to do.

Fox gone, why?
Re: This is a poll. Who will be UK's next PM?
And Penny Mordant, both were informed that they were to return to the back benches.

Fox is a Hunt loyalist.
I read couple of days ago that Mordant could be considered in the job long enough to be blamed for the oil tanker hijacking farce; maybe that's it.
I would like to think Brokenshire is out for his appalling treatment of Roger Scruton.

Re: This is a poll. Who will be UK's next PM?
I applaud the elevation of Boris Johnson to Prime Minister. He is exuberant, patriotic, and not afraid to state his views, politics be damned. That course was charted by Churchill and Thatcher and I think is a wise one to follow.
Now the big question is, 'Can Boris execute Brexit?'. That seems to be his mandate and his challenge. If he can pull it off, I think UK's best days lie ahead.

I think both sides want to execute Brexit
