Re: The disgraceful BBC
Looks like the Establishment are out to get him for revealing embarrassing news about illegals’ entry into UK whilst the indigenous are being chased out of the parks and off the streets.
What better publicity for his film report, either the relevant chief constable is incredibly stupid, or is doing it deliberately to get more resources allocated to his patch.
Then that, if true, would suggest smart Plod, but I doubt it very much.

Re: The disgraceful BBC
Interesting point that Covidism is permitted but Journalism is not. Did she really mean that a journalist travelling to cover Brexit or illegal immigration unrelated to CV was not allowed?
Re: The disgraceful BBC
Certainly not allowed! We don't want the great unwashed to know the truth, do we?
PS Why is it that when I fast-type 'Great' it comes up as 'Greta'? WTF is going on??!! Aargh!!

Re: The disgraceful BBC
Radio Moscow lives on! One would think that following their disgraceful coverage of the Brexit controversy, Auntie Beeb might have carried out a root and branch reform and at least tried to become more impartial? But obviously not;
So now we’re in the dangerous position of guvvment feeling obliged to interfere with the State Broadcasting Corporation, once respected and revered for it’s output but sadly no longer. It’s a dark rabbit hole down which to venture so we can only hope social ‘meeja’ will keep us informed? But then why have a ‘licence fee’?

Re: The disgraceful BBC
Isn't it a case that the MSM (and, specifically the BBC) are 'anti' anything and everything in order to create 'journalism' that attracts interest from Joe Public?
After all, it is Aunty Beeb . . .

Lord Hall: People have turned to BBC 'in their droves' during pandemic https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-52788122
Equally worrying is that he apparently really believes it!! But of course it’s a BBC News item, online.
I for one have almost totally deserted any MSM infofiction, apart from a quick check at the start of any news prog to see if the meteorite is headed for my village, before drifting off elsewhere...

Re: The disgraceful BBC
There was another work of fiction on the BBC News last night when Clive Myrie tried to make the viewers believe that the Beeb's reporter was the only reporter who maintained their social distancing in the media scrum outside Cummings's house - this whilst she was sticking a microphone in Cummings's face.
It's always my fault - SWMBO

Re: The disgraceful BBC
The interview with the outgoing DG yesterday revealed that the other Mr Hall was a far better ventriloquist (with Lenny the Lion) than this one is as head of the BBC.
Load of cobblers, especially the reason for bringing BBC3 back as a live channel and not just on the net. Quite easy to read between the lines, that they made a balls up and waisted a lot of money in the process.

Re: The disgraceful BBC
Breakfast on BBC1 this morning has just had a farmer on whinging about water for his crops. Too much at the end of last year and not enough now. To make matters worse he has a natural whinging scouce accent.
Also that sage of travel, Simon Calder, who in his piece suggested that BA have restarted flying today, with the illustrating that BA have a flight to Lisbon this morning.
It flys every day and has throughout the crisis....more false news.

Re: The disgraceful BBC
BBC News at One, outside broadcast reporter, today talking about how blacks are denigrated in the UK, referred to the railway worker lady who died after being spat on by a man with Covid-19. Only according to the BBC last week, CCTV showed he didn't spit, investigations showed he didn't have Covid-19, and the lady herself had underlying health conditions...

Re: The disgraceful BBC
Biased and Inflammatory Reporting
I wish to complain about the biased and inflammatory comments of your OB reporter in News at One, 03 June, attending a demonstration. In comparing the way in which persons of colour are treated in the UK in a similar fashion to those in the USA, your reporter drew attention in a somewhat emotional manner to the death of Belly Mujinga, a coloured railway worker "who was spat upon by a man suffering from Covid-19 and subsequently died.".
In fact investigation by the British Transport Police, BTP, who reviewed CCTV footage and witness reports, revealed the incident did not happen: the alleged perpetrator did not spit, nor did anyone else, and the man in question and was subsequently found to be negative for Covid-19. Senior detectives are confident that this incident did not lead to Belly Mujinga's death. (Evening Standard, last weekend).
At a time when racial tensions are high it is despicable that an OB reporter uses an incident that never happened to illustrate UK racism; it is also despicable that the anchorman in the studio made no effect to correct her. One expects better of the BBC.

Re: The disgraceful BBC
They pay themselves vast salaries, are grossly overmanned, are funded by an increasingly disgruntled population and are unashamedly anti Government, pro EU and completely left wing. I have no expectations of them whatsoever. One expects better of the BBC.
I am exercising patience until such times as Dominic Cummings has time to dispose of them.
Re: The disgraceful BBC
I would says one hopes for better. I've given up expecting better. One expects better of the BBC.
All the media have their biases, some more than others.

Re: The disgraceful BBC
I wonder if there is another meaning to the word ‘maitlis’? Perhaps it could be revamped into a noun or a verb connected with doing something unspeakable? Answers as normal on the back of a used postage stamp please, closing date for competition entries will be the actual day we escape from the EUSSR properly.
Meanwhile, here’s a very recent discussion which raises a number of thought-provoking points regarding our beloved Aunty Beeb and her behaviour in recent times. As is normal in the 21st Century, following all the electronic innovations of the 20th Century, now that we communicate via broadband the sound quality is initially dodgy but quickly settles down.
This problem is something I find especially irritating when MSM is trying to interview someone at their home, so in order that we can see them speaking, out of sync with lip movement, connection is made via the currently overloaded ‘net in preference to a good old-fashioned telephone landline which rarely if ever ‘drops’ the call! Rant over, enjoy;
