Talking of voices - I was employed by a German company and I communicated mostly by telephone.
One regular contact had the most sexy voice and I eagerly looked forward to our frequent phonecalls.
Her name was Angelika.
I was warned by others not to get my expectations up for when I eventually got to meet her face to face.
Indeed she wasn't 'beautiful' but was definitely attractive in a homely sort of way.
And oh - that voice!
Part of the fun of amateur radio back in the day. Talking to people, you build up a mental picture, which is invariably very wrong when you get to meet in person.
