When all else fails, read the instructions.

If you are interested in this I recommend James Holland's "Burma 44" which is the account of the Battle of the Admin Box, I had not heard of this battle until I read this book last year, - another lockdown benefit.

My 96 year old brother in law was an infantryman in Burma. He doesn't talk about it.

He was demobbed after the war, and after 6 months as a civilian, he re-joined. Did his 22 and has been drawing his pension for 55 years.

According to the Express, Om15 has been active again

"Some left-wing activists on social media have criticised Government ministers for increasingly being interviewed in front of the national flag." ***

There appears to be an expected reaction to the 'terrible twosomes' attack on the Union Flag on BBC Breakfast time yesterday. The sooner the Nagger and the 'Charlie' go the better for me.

*** I'm quite safe as I am proudly on his 'ignore' list =)) It refers to a 'go' he had a while back at the Labour party being over-jingoistic by having Union flags in all their TV interviews.

Mrs OFSO tells me the Nagger was appalling a couple of weeks ago on something called "Saturday Kitchen" and was chided for rudeness and bad manners. (And her dish was labelled "the dish from hell" by Ottolenghi.)

It puzzles me the number of times these so-called celebrities get called for breeching the BBC's rules and yet retain their very well paid jobs, when folks in other companies would be on a disciplinary for gross misconduct and facing dismissal.

To me, it simply underlines the sheer arrogance of the state broadcaster. It runs through the organisation like a stick of rock.

I complained to the BBC about Stayt's and Munchetty's behaviour but I expect the usual patronising dismissal of "We haven't done anything wrong. Our presenters are outstandingly impartial individuals who present the highest standards blah-de-blah". It really is time the BBC had to stand on its own feet and earn the money that it needs to keep going instead of ripping the pi$$ out its viewers through the compulsory tax.

That phrase must be on the F1 key on every laptop in the BBC. Remember that black railway employee who died of Covid after being spat on by a passenger? So said a black BBC reporter speaking in a black community AFTER an inquiry said it didn't happen. I complained. Similar reply.

Incidentally haven't hear any more about the case going further.

OFSO, far more trivial, I complained that one of their outside broadcasters was advertising. She wore a brown raincoat the a brand name prominent in the front.

Now some brands have quite a subdued logo others are quite in your face and you should be paid to wear them. I think this was North Face which is very much in your face branding.

Of course this was not product placement was it?

I complained a few weeks back that BBC Midlands area stops just 5 miles east of the Waltham transmitter. No reply but last night TWO reports from Grantham. One topical about male behaviour at King's School ( woke - tick) and one at the Covid vaccination centre (covid - tick).

Next time I guess will be the unveiling of Maggie's statue followed by street interviews and a follow up broadcast after paint is thrown at it.

PN, before North Face, it was all Berghaus. MrsP has noticed another brand popping up regularly (I forget the name) these days.

I mean the brand name, not MrsP's.

Magnus, it's like product placement. A company offers a staff association a discount in the hope and expectation that their product will become a favoured and placed item.

Mountain Warehouse offer a particularly good deal for Defence personnel with a generous discount applicable to sales as well.

Occasionally the BBC get it right :D
As they have with the PP Complaints Page.

While it will undoubtedly get lots of anti-complaints it will give them a wonderful demographic picture.

Just who thinks it was over OTT. I would guess my MiL was glued to the screen all day. She's a year older than Liz. OTOH I know even loyal septuanarian also got fed up and switched to a paint drying programme.

If grannie complains they will know they are well out of tune with their audience.

Those of an age may have waddled in the nostalgia. Those younger have seen it all before in Diana, the Queen, the Crown etc if they cared at all.

Complain here - Death of HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh - too much coverage on BBC TV

I have also complained that they don't mention Radio, which is really the basis of my complaint.

Now I am going to complain that they don't have a specific page for me not to complain on.

Typical BBC, trying to be everything to everybody... It will nae fly Cap'n!
