I admit to being woke. However, later on I'll be gonked out.

I like the videos made by 'Daughter of Albion'.

We need more of that anti-bollocks content, much more.

I luvvit! The BBC pigeons are coming home to roost and to deposit the usual sh1te over that institution which has failed miserably in it's duty for far too long.

But will this happen or will the 'wokes' win yet again?

Can't wait for next week's exciting instalment, sandwiched between whatever BLM-orientated and LGBTQI+ promotion shows are scheduled from 'Auntie'.

The British (or rather the English) are so self-destructive at the moment that one only needs to insert a meme into current parlance that the nuclear submariners "are woke" and the mentally feeble here (of which there are, sadly, many) will be calling for their disbandment too! :))

Wakker skrik Atom! Was machst du da?

I unfairly use Atom as the the target of my woeful humour, a chap I have a lot of time for, not least because he is is my age, unlike some of the old codgers that declaim here, most of whom I like too! :)

Meine liebe old codger explain to us wokespeople what the BBC's duty is?

Perhaps you, and kindred fools, would care for the British televisual version of the Völkischer Beobachter?

By asking questions like this I am clearly "destroying ops-normal"... :p

.. and the political indoctrination "education" of the under-5's continues with Cbeebies launching into a "Who's your black role model?" this morning. Why not a "Who's your Chinese/Indian/Aztec/Eskimo/Pikey role model?" FFS, young kids lose the innocence of youth early enough without the BBC's right-on 2@ts accelerating the process.

BBC: Duty of Care to Contributors. We should treat our contributors honestly and with respect, and the care and consideration given to those taking part in our programmes is of critical importance.

The Royal Charter is the constitutional basis for the BBC. It sets out the BBC's Object, Mission and Public Purposes. The Charter also outlines the Corporation's governance and regulatory arrangements, including the role and composition of the BBC Board.

Another example of the “Duty of Care” to the licence taxpayers;

“Coronavirus: GP letter was like a ‘death warrant from grim reaper’ ” (BBC News); “One death every 80 seconds: Brazil reaches a grim milestone as it becomes the third worst-hit country…” (BBC News); “Grim milestone as virus cases top 25m globally” (BBC News).

Grim, grim, grim. There has been a lip-smacking quality, not only in headlines but in the reports that follow from the world’s news media. All of us should be more rigorous in resisting the appeal of a ghoulish turn of phrase. But the BBC has been a serial offender.

In what follows I’m aware that, when it comes to panic-spreading, our state broadcasting corporation is only one of many miscreants among print and broadcast media. But that’s because I look to the BBC to help set standards. The corporation has a particular duty to stand a little back from the noise and introduce a note of quiet balance into the national conversation.

When our politicians try to use science as propaganda, broadcasters should be rock-solid in resisting the hype. Instead, they’ve swallowed the government’s line that “the science” is clear and unquestioned, and that the prospects, should we fail to “follow” the science, are apocalyptic.

Both are highly disputable. Science is divided. The most apocalyptic, however, are getting the loudest shout. Neither on how, nor where, nor when the virus spreads most virulently is there consensus among epidemiologists; and even if that consensus existed, broadcasters and journalists would still have a duty to remind politicians and the public that combating an illness should not elbow from national attention the equally honourable goal of saving livelihoods as well as lives.”

And finally, over to a simpering bimbo wearing a dress which looks like it was made from 1970s curtain/cushion material, for the history of yesterday’s weather and a short forecast from our cheapest possible dew-point source. =))

Andrew Marr has sidestepped the Mail on Sunday and it's articles this morning, claiming it wasn't in the studio.

How strange, seeing as it has the excellent Stuart Rose article on the Covid fiasco.

‘Tis a bit early for the new D-G to drain the BBC swamp and clear out all the PC ‘woke’ Lefty brigades, if indeed he ever intended to perform that Herculean task in the first instance? :-?

The BBC just referred to an election result as a "landslide". The winner got less than HALF of the votes.

I have just been listening to Simon Schama's Dream Dinner Party on the disgraceful BBC and thoroughly enjoyed it...

For those grizzly curmudgeons here that can listen to it, here is a link to yet another excellent BBC production. I recommend it.
Historian, writer and broadcaster Sir Simon Schama hosts a dinner party with a twist - his guests are from beyond the grave, heroes brought back to life through the radio archive.

In his house in upstate New York, Simon is joined by acclaimed singer songwriter Nina Simone, When Harry Met Sally writer/director Nora Ephron, Broadway performer Elaine Stritch, writer and essayist Gore Vidal and master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock.

In honour of Alfred's film The Birds, Simon prepares roast quail, while the guests discuss the secret of happiness, music and film as political tools, the origins of fear, love, lust - and having an orgasm in public.

There's gourmet food, performance, and the occasional howl from the woods.

Lighten up folks... or should I say bm. I wonder what he would say to Gore Vidal? ;)))

There's a video clip on the daily BBC News today which has a warning: "Danger: contains behaviour which could be imitated." I thought it might be about the Teletubbies, but sadly it's just about boring old National Socialism.
