As Mrs PN said, as he didn't see it with his own eyes it didn't happen.

I still pay for a tv licence although I don't watch it much. Looking at Christmas tv I noticed what BBC2 has lined up for Christmas Day.

What does the BBC, and the other UK media outlets, do if London Bridge is declared over the festive period? Not necessarily this year, but would they pull their entire festive output for a period of mourning?

I would imagine so.

I didn't know that the BBC invested our licence fees in China, but it appears that they do.

Here is, finally, a former MSM executive telling it like it was/is/will be.

The Beeb gets an honourable mention too towards the end of his interview.

The comments which follow are indicative of how his comments strike home with so many of the peasants! :-?

BBC announce a new CEO of BBC News

I wonder if we'll see a return to the honest, impartial and accurate reporting that is claimed by BBC News on its web-site.

The new CEO needs to get to work immediately, as the reporting this morning, on all subjects on BBC R4 Today, is inflammatory, speculation and false news.

Disgraceful. All staff on duty today should be dismissed.

Ibbie, it's just wishful thinking hoping that anything is going to change anytime soon.

For those of us based in the UK, the Freeview channels are playing pass the parcel today, with many of the channels having their numbers changed. Why? Because the BBC wants to reintroduce BBC 3 - as if we need yet another channel of wokeness, the likes of which only the BBC can come up with. And look what delights they've got lined up for us:

All I watch these days is AZ Prime and YouTube. That way I pick what I want to watch.

Oh and "Heartbeat" on ITV, for the cars, mostly...

Remarkable.

I'm looking forward to re-watching these three BBC series which I have acquired on DVD:

Civilisation: A Personal View by Kenneth Clark (1969);
America: A Personal History of the United States (Alistair Cooke, 1972)
The Ascent of Man (Jacob Bronowski, 1973)

The BBC's offerings don't seem to be quite the same these days.

But that’s enough about Liz Truss :D

Viewers are warned that there may be an element of comedy which may upset some of a delicate disposition:-

Hang in there for the full 3' 04", they think it's all over!!

Please avoid watching any episodes of Dads' Army as offence may be taken at historical references and language!!

Our dearly beloved Boris goes to war-threatened Ukraine in an attempt to calm things down.

In the ensuing press conference, the Beeb's hack asks a question, not about the the threat of imminent invasion by Russian forces, not about the threat of that act spreading to a state-on-state war affecting the rest of Europe/the World, not about the soaring cost of energy prices, inflation affecting food prices and all the other major concerns wwhich will impact on the world at large. Oh no!!. Those matters are of little concern to the BBC.

He asks a question about "partygate" FFS!! What a feckn embarrassment for an organisation that used to be the world leader in reporting news and is now, by its own performances, relegated to the media equivalent of the Southern Combination League.

The outgoing something or other (on £340,000 per annum) says she is proud of what the BBC achieves.
Of all the failings of the current Government the fact that the BBC is still transmitting is the biggest.

I have been watching re-runs of Foyles War, Endeavor and Morse, all well written, well acted and convincing casts.

Within a decade or so we have gone from this to the current rubbish, watching The Bay this week you would be forgiven for thinking the entire population of Morecambe bay Bay are jihadi Muslims, Father Brown series now feature 1950s church curates as middle aged ladies from Jamaica and red indians as Chief Constables.
Every single drama now has a black lady (usually unable to act) as police chiefs, head surgeons or university professors, none of it represents anything but the views of the small mong cliques that are running the media, BBC is worst of all.

BBC News "on all platforms across the BBC" appears to be spreading false news and personal opinions about Ukrainian situation today. Some, if not most, of the reporting is bordering on the hysterical. "People are fleeing".....err...No.

This is speedily heading for "Weapons of Mass Destruction" volume 2.

Ibbie sez: “This is speedily heading for "Weapons of Mass Destruction" volume 2”.

There are already many volumes published which are more aptly titled:-“https://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php/W ... _True_Lies

Most of them relate to the 2003 Iraq fiasco for which the perpetrators have never fully been held to account.

If the worst happens in Ukraine, is it possible that when the fog of war finally clears we’ll once again be reading a similar tale of lies and psy-ops and deception on a massive scale? :-?

I think you may well be right, BM. The average person in Ukraine is as poor as a church mouse (sorry Jim!). Apart from agriculture, they have few natural resources and are not a threat to anyone. I was in Iraq long before the first Gulf War, and that was (and still is) a poor country. There were no WMDs and there are none in Ukraine. The hysteria being whipped up by the UK media (aided of course by the government, because nowadays it is virtually the same thing), is ridiculous. A few weeks ago, few people could point to Ukraine on a map, despite the fact that it is the largest country in Europe. Now all we see every day is photos of snow-covered fields and soldiers in white 'camo' gear, when it hasn't snowed significantly all winter! Oh how we are being deceived!
