EU Fun and Games

#1 Post by OFSO » Tue Jul 02, 2019 1:11 pm

EU Parliament President Antonio Tajani reprimanded the Brexit MPs yesterday for turning their backs while the EU anthem was played, saying that "the National Anthem of every country should be respected." Another idiot who thinks the EU is a country.

Meanwhile, the Catalan MEPs, elected by Spanish citizens to represent them in the EU, who have been refused admission to the EU Parliament, have written to President Tajani four times asking for an explanation. He hadn't had time to answer. Bit difficult justifying Spain's decision that Spanish law takes precedent over EU law, which it does, following last week's decision by Madrid.

The cracks in the structure are widening and lengthening.
But our lords & masters in Brussels still can't organise a party at a Belgian brewery as they cast around trying to elect the bosses for the next interminable sessions of restricting hairdryer wattage and trying to set up a replacement for NATO.
And also the latest outrageous increase in the EU budget has to be "debated".
Back to the "Carry On" films........

I posted a comment to the Daily Fail and had it 'moderated'! That means kicked off!

The Irish PM was quoted and complaining about Boris, and I said that if Boris had him worried, Boris was probably doing some thing correct.

Seeing as Mr Varadka is a self proclaimed homosexual, what was wrong in me using words of the Irishman Brendan Behan, to describe him?

It’s now the 21st century and ‘free speech’ is being restricted just like it was in the USSR during the halcyon days of the Cold War.

Refer to Jordan Peterson versus the Canadian Legislature Bill C16 and/or the vids of Brendan O’Neill discussing the “woke” movement and their effect on our dwindling freedoms to adequately express ourselves. When the police forces of western societies have the authority and (scarce) resources to visit and interview those who’ve expressed opinions contrary to the perceived “correct” thoughts, then we must wake up to the reality we’re in deep trouble.

Or watch the interview with ‘Posie Parker’ on her posting re a 16yr old boy taken to Thailand by a parent for gender reassignment surgery and how ‘Parker’ was treated by UK Plod.

Unsurprising that the D M lawyers told their editors to snuff out your posting to their august organ?!

And also no surprise that Varadkar is upset at Boris as the gravy train Irish version is about to run dry;

Speaking at a press conference with the president-elect of the EU Council, Charles Michel, Mr Varadkar said the rise in Irish contributions will be as a result of economic growth in recent years.

More like the result of a missing 40 billion quid once the Brits depart. Crumbling? You ain’t seen nuthin yet :-o :))

"It's going to crumble faster than an Brussels apple crumble 5 feet from Ground Zero of a 50MT nuke"
"You sure about that?"
"Happy to check. Here's a nuke I prepared earlier. ;)))"

ian16th, here’s another example of censorship 21st century version!

We have to see for how long O-N will last in it’s current free speech form before the EUSSR apparatchiks come after it and impede or close it down on a charge of sedition. [-X

After reading “The Great Deception” by Booker & North I believe the EU is capable of any action it deems necessary to protect it from external threats such as websites and fora which would decrease it’s credibility.

They did a great job of shafting Greece and tried hard and are still trying to shaft the UK.

So I will maintain my paranoia and await the white-coated brigade! :O3

‘Ere oop north a white Christmas is a possibility but I’m waiting for my next date with Lucy Verasamy to warn me of approaching danger. That’s if I can pay attention to the symbols and the chart.......😜

Here in far flung Kazakhstan, a white Christmas, several feet deep is not so much a possibility as an inevitably!👍
Merry Christmas to all wherever you are.😄

boac, I saw the men in white coats the other day but then realised it was the deli counter in Waitrose !

Meanwhile back in the EUSSR, a little old reminder of why we’re tunnelling under the wire, hampered by the likes of Starmer, Blair, Major, Gina Miller et al;

This one’s in addition to Marta Andreasen, author of “Brussels Laid Bare”, who also reported significant defects in the EU accounts and who was royally shafted by the other champagne socialist-Neil (Welsh Windbag) Kinnock and had to leave her job too.

Looks like Jeff Taylor YouTube has been doing his homework again with the video “EU plot to cut funds for the poor post-Brexit”.

Not only is this one about dosh for the hungry being diverted but some other interesting snippets have surfaced too.

For a local councillor, if boac is correct, J T certainly seems to have lots of info sources. Good to hear that the Remoaners May be hoist with their own petard.

boac, fairy nuff. I’m more concerned with the content of the message and less in the messenger and the delivery.

I still learn more from JT’s briefings than from hours of shitsifting whilst watching/listening to MSM. They sometimes alert me to developments but it usually sends me into search mode on the web to discover more.

And as I’m living alone there’s normally nobody with whom I can discuss news & current affairs until the few meet-ups I manage to attend with both like and unlike minds. :O3

Oireland goes to the polls next month on 8th Feb.
Their current gaffer, the svelte Leo Varadkar, seems to be running into trouble, so maybe no wonder he’s waving his weapon at Johnson the UK gaffer over Brexit.

https://www.irishpost.com/news/leo-vara ... oll-177593

The latest uttering was a rant on about how the UK would be at a great disadvantage versus the millions of EU citizens and their markets and firms, comments following up statements regarding fishing rights and how the Oirish and others should be allowed into UK territorial waters to hoover up the remaining stocks.
Yet there’s not a lot of publicity about their projected donations to EUSSR funds shooting up to €3,000,000,000 in the next funding round, as opposed to being a net recipient of the dosh which assisted the Celtic Tiger to roar in the first place. That information probably would not stand our Leo in good stead with the average voter.
And strangely, the latest puffery for membership of the EU onion makes no mention of their contributions to the bloc’s coffers but eulogises over the milk and honey which has flowed and seemingly will continue to flow in the future as here;

https://ec.europa.eu/ireland/about-us/i ... n#top-page

If ever there was an abridged work of fiction it’s this fulsome report which ignores the elephant in the pub. Whilst the UK starts the next round of Barnier battles next month it will be interesting to see how the Oirish electorate feel about their government and it’s direction and management. A two-fingered earthquake on the level of the MEP elections in the UK and then the Dec 2019 GE version occurring in the ROI might cause significant damage to the EUSSR juggernaut which is already creaking with discontent in the ‘mainland’ countries. :-\

The Orish voted once before to leave the EU but were told to go back the polls and think again until the correct result was achieved. Probably won’t take much on another re-run for the folks to tell their leaders what they really think.
