Maybe this is where the scriptwriters for “Mrs Brown’s Boys” get inspiration for the anarchic TV show. Just thought this brief clip would lighten an otherwise heavy topic. The level of “debate” is akin to one of the local pubs at closing time!!

=))

Watching some of the associated videos of proceedings in the Oirish parliament shows it to be an even more spirited if undisciplined debating chamber than the UK HoC which has disgusted us all over the last nearly 4years. The comment from Varadkar about “It doesn’t take very long for your balaclava to slip!” to another (Sinn Feinn) MP is indicative of the passion and temper in their House.

I dunno where the hell that is but it’s damn brilliant Barking! =))

Does the BBC plan to make it a comedy series?

I could imagine Alf Garnett as house speaker at the end saying “Bugger you skarskits....I’m goin’ downa bloody pub!”

Edit: you fiddled with your post. Oirland it be.

More on Varadkar who is possibly on a very limited lease up to 08/02/2020;

Interesting to see the most effective opposition speakers in the Oirish Parliament are Sinn Fein and are real heel-snapping rottweilers compared with the rest of the poor attendance in that house? :-o

Another juicy snippet.

And to think this lot were dictating terms to the UK not very long ago?!

Whoops ! The Swiss are soon to vote on further integration with the EUSSR or to reject cuddling up to Brussels and maybe even voting for a “Swexit”!

Hope UVDL is happy the way things are panning out so soon after she ascended the throne?

Further details are available on Jeff Taylor’s YouTube frequency.

Looks like the Swiss are looking down the barrel of “Swexit” as they go to the polls to vote on the freedom of movement rules.

The figures quoted that roughly 25% of their population is now relatively recent immigrant-sourced and they may be watching what’s happened elsewhere in the European continent and feeling very uneasy. Coincidentally their population is being bombarded with similar rhetoric as were the British pre-2016 referendum by the Swiss version of Project Fear.

The timbers of the EUSSR craft are creaking even more as we stumble on into the bright 21st century so I expect even more hysterical outbursts from Brusssels and Macroon whose grip on Les Frogs seems to be loosening?

For a more precise summary of Swexit-to-be, maybe, go to JeffTaylor YouTube for his latest 10 minute snippet and ponder....... :-\

The German Swiss will obey orders, the French Swiss will ignore politics and have another glass of wine, and the Italians will get back under the duvet with their current piece of crumpet.

Surprised nobody has mentioned the Swiss Crypto AG scandal which is predominant on German and Spanish news. The firm has sold encryption devices round the word which are "unbreakable" except the keys were passed to the CIA and German BND.

Indeed the Swiss I know, are vehemently opposed to third world unskilled immigration and open borders with the many problems it brings. Crime, disease, overcrowding, housing shortage, pressure on infrastructure, etc.
I think and hope they will vote NEIN.

OFSO, didya mean this little episode? And the link is to our very own favourite BBC of all things! Who would have imagined it?

Swiss Crypto AG spying scandal shakes reputation for neutrality https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-51487856

What is neutrality? Nothing more than posturing and a myth.
It is unreasonable to expect a country whose geographical, demographic and political alignments are European to be 'neutral'. Anyone who imagines otherwise is living in a fools' paradise.

Nevertheless, Swiss Crypto's actions are, if as reported, reprehensible but I would see that as a commercial matter rather than a reflection of Swiss politics.

Once again it seems the 27 are having and will have trouble proceeding onto the sunlit uplands of a UKfree community.
Even as they are looking at trying to screw more funds out of their existing members they are also looking to haul in more poorer countries, who from the outset will likely be a net drain on the coffers. For further info on this check today's Jeff Taylor broadcast on YouTube "EU27 'like ferrets in a sack' over budget'.
I still await the howls of protest from our Oirish neighbours if/when the average peasant realises they are shovelling €2,000,000,000 per annum towards Brussels & Strasbourg and getting much less in return. When they joined they were contributing one €uro and getting six €uro back, a real no-brainer, but not any more.
They also haven't woken up yet to the loss of their country's long-standing neutrality after smiling Leo signed them up to joining the new exciting EUSSR armed force which will gallop to the rescue or destruction of any militarily inferior country considered an enemy by the Brussels elite, none of whom will risk their own necks in a conflict.

Just found out why the Superstate costs soooh much to run and why nothing happens quickly nor easily;

It’s not necessary to download the lot and fall asleep reading them but it represents an awful lot of jobs for the boys and girls plus the pensions obligations keeping the army of Eurocrats in pocket and champagne.

In turning the screws on the UK, Barnier is playing a risky game. If Boris tells thr EU to get stuffed and walks away from a deal, it will all be Barnier's fault in the eyes of the EU Member States.

I'm waiting for them to do something unreasonable now, such as bias the fishing policy in their favour until December (in theory they can do this, Boris should have specified in his agreement that the UK would stick to the rules as they existed on 31st Jan) and then discover that come the end of the year, they're even more screwed when the UK completely shuts them out in retaliation. The marbles stuff has been mentioned elsewhere, and of course Spain is going to try to screw over the whole thing over Gibraltar so there probably won't be a deal at the end of it anyway.

Varadkar has gone, as expected. Wonder what whoever is in charge of Ireland at the moment has as an EU policy at the squabblefest going on in Brussels yesterday and today. Seems 75 billion euros has gone missing. Anyone know what Ireland plans ?

Ah well, off to el Supermercado with me pickup truck to buy out and stock up on tinned tomatoes and any other affected fruit?

https://www.euronews.com/2020/02/17/fra ... adly-virus

Wonder when it’ll all blow over and I’ll be able to construct a half decent Bologna’s sauce again.

Treacherous and subversive voices have been criticising the open borders within the EUSSR for permitting and accelerating this sort of plant disease promulgation but I doubt if the Brussels elite care much about practicalities like that as the empire looks to expand further.

Merkel outraged at today's EU plan.

#38 Post by OFSO » Fri Feb 21, 2020 4:53 pm

Internal negotiating documents, show Germany would be expected to make net contributions of around £18billion (€22billion).

This is an increase of almost £8billion (€10billion) a year on what Berlin currently sends to Brussels.

Whereas France would actually be better off by almost £1.8billion (€2.2billion) compared to the last budget with a total net payment to the EU of just £11billion (€13billion).

What a surprise !

Summit ended, no agreement on budget, no agreement on new summit date, extreme disagreements between have and have-not nations, no acknowledgement of hole in income left by UK withdrawal.

Ostriches, sand.
