Zero tolerance for intolerance.
I wonder if anyone else was listening to the BBC news this morning, and picked up this mini-gem?
It seems we must have zero tolerance for any sort of extremism, particularly of the spoken sort.
Isn't this just a wee bit extremist in itself?

Re: Zero tolerance for intolerance.
I have no tolerance for intolerance.
Re: Zero tolerance for intolerance.
I am perfectly tolerant of people who agree with me.
Anyone else can eff off.

Wasn’t sure where to put this, but interesting point of view, just don’t read the last paragraph

Read it, I think, as eyelids descended halfway through. Woke up and skipped to last paragraph. Sad, thought she was more intelligent.

I am, however, pleased she wishes to retain a good English word 'actress' in use. What do the PC crowd do for 'mistress' and other such words?

Keep her hidden from one's wife of course...

If these humourless blue stockings get their way what will the bishop say?
Looking at that article I find myself returning to look at Renee Zellweger. She has a certain something doesn't she!

Ah! But the debate is whether you are being 'sexist' there - 'assuming' a male environment?
Isn't that what the duvet is for, anyway......? "Oh, hello, dear - no, this lump is just a couple of pillows.."

I must use that technique. I tend to try and lock mine in the cupboard! "Just looking for the key dear..."

That Zellweger woman irritates me to the limit, she's up there with Jonathan Woss, Michael McIntyre, and that utterly gross and repellent Jo Brand thing (now that is an 'it'.)
And by the way, passports, except possibly German and Israeli ones, haven't shown 'occupation' for many years.

"Israeli ones, haven't shown 'occupation' for many years." - not sure a lot would agree there.

Re: Zero tolerance for intolerance.
I certainly wouldn't return for a look at either Jonathan Ross, or Michael McIntyre who I do find funny at times - vide. the sketch on the Nazi baby!Capetonian wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2020 11:57 amThat Zellweger woman irritates me to the limit, she's up there with Jonathan Woss, Michael McIntyre, and that utterly gross and repellent Jo Brand thing (now that is an 'it'.)

Out from under the duvet and into the UK High Court, it would appear that m'learned friends on the Bench have lost patience with the free speech crackdown.
Last week Mr Justice Julian Knowles saw fit to pass the following judgement on a truly 1984ish syndrome in the 21st Century and in his final summing up he quoted;
'In his treatise On Liberty (1859) John Stuart Mill wrote:
“If all mankind minus one, were of one opinion, and only one person were of the contrary opinion, mankind would be no more justified in silencing that one person, than he, if he had the power, would be justified in silencing mankind.”
Jeff Taylor's 10 minutes will save trouble trawling through the full 65 pages and thankfully UK Plod has been put back in their box on this one!
