It will be interesting to see if NYC will prosecute the darling of the left, Jon Stewart, for the exact same thing they went after President Trump.

If they do, I have a feeling a lot of wealthy lefty NYC liberals who “overvalued” their properties are sweating a bit and will hopefully come under the microscope.

I am sure the lefty MSM will use weird mental gymnastics, only known to them, to explain the actions of Jon Stewart et al. were somehow completely different from President Trump’s actions (even though Deutsche Bank testified in the defense of President Trump stating they had no issue with his valuation).

This long piece, which takes apart the latest left wing book dismissing rural Trump supporters as enraged racists, is published by a left wing academic in a well-left website.
Since the academic was quoted in the book, his ruthless analysis thereof is both deserved and accurate.
It tries to explain why rural America is not more racist than the cities, why its inhabitants are not irrational, and why the Dems are doomed if they continue to characterize them as such.

The problem is, from my viewpoint, that the solutions offered for how Democrats should engage with rural areas are fundamentally not what Democrats are either inclined or able to do, not least because rural folk essentially want less government and Democrats want more.

I do not recall such excitement when we had an eclipse! It was on a Saturday which is museum workshop day so we had a lot of people there, we hung up a white sheet and shut the big doors. With everyone inside it was easy to maneuver the sheet to catch a beam coming through a convenient nail hole giving us a nice camera obscura display of the event!
