WTF is happening in the UK?
Re: WTF is happening in the UK?
Possibly Ricky.
There are still traditional Tories in the Commons, my MP is a red faced white man who wears a tweed jacket and doesn't like foreigners, so there are some good candidates available.
The Telegraph is really putting the boot in, the only people who are not actively campaigning against the PM seem to be the Labour Party, I suppose they think that a good Tory PM would finish them off.
We can only hope that the lure of memoirs, easy money and a return to journalism will encourage BJ to slip away, I can't see that happening, his floozy has her feet under the table in No 10 and she will need to be prised out, so it might be the men in grey suits come calling.

The Daily Wail appears to be sliding, not too slowly, into the pit of doom as a newspaper.

Re: WTF is happening in the UK?
Let's look at the successes of the Conservative government
The UK asylum system
I see not so pritti Patel has told the USA
"Ms Patel, on a three-day visit to Washington, said the system was a “complete merry-go-round” with a “whole industry” devoted to defending the rights of individuals intent on causing harm."
I wonder whose fault that is? Perhaps she should ask the Home Secretary who is responsible for the system?

Re: WTF is happening in the UK?
Our defence forces have surveillance aircraft, both manned and unmanned, which are equipped with very powerful electro-optical systems and with mobile phone monitoring equipment. Both SIS and SS have the capability to establish surveillance networks in a trivially easy location such as Northern ffrance. We know vey exactly what types of dinghy are being sourced and where they are coming from.
Why the hell aren't the security and defence forces being mobilised to roll up these organised criminal gangs? Why don't we have the SRR and the SAS on the ground to interdict the bastards at the tideline on the ffrench coast? Sure, we are getting little or no co-operation from the ffrogs, so ****. Let's sort the problem out for ourselves and let the ffrog gouvernment explain later why they are not helping.
Months ago Nigel Fromage predicted that soon there would be a thousand or more illegal entries in a single day. Last Thursday the score was 1,180. He predicted that this year the score would be more than 20,000.
Now look at it:

Re: WTF is happening in the UK?
My new Kia EV6 doesn't arrive until March but when I found out the old car part exchange value had increased by £3000 since June I decided to sell to the dealer two weeks ago when I ordered the new car and we would easily make do with one car until March. I wonder how much longer that dotted line can rocket upwards - did I sell too soon? The bubble has to burst sometime....

Never mind running out of fuel, this is a real crisis
Greggs has warned customers they may not be able to get hold of vegan sausage rolls as it becomes one of the latest products to succumb to supply chain disruption.
The bakery chain said there were 'temporary interruptions' to supplies of products, including its light puff pastry with a seasoned Quorn filling, across the UK.
First launched in 2019, Greggs' vegan sausage roll rose in popularity as a healthy alternative to its classic sausage roll and steak and chicken bakes.

Isn't Quorn made out of crude oil?

Ah, memories of galloping across the rolling hills of Leicestershire in pursuit of the gentleman in his russet coat....

The concept of eating food created from fungus doesn't appeal to me, yet I enjoy yoghurt.

Re: WTF is happening in the UK?
They must've changed the recipe slightly.
It was invented by BP and ICI at Grangemouth. They fermented mould spores in crude oil and turned the mulch into a basic protein from which they made a fake meat 'substitute'.
I'm sure that the Philippino company called Quorn is still using the same mould, though perhaps they are using a cheaper substrate than crude oil nowadays.
Remember Oliver, the musical?
Boy: Fagin, this sausage is mouldy!
Fagin: Shut up and drink your gin.
