Trying to create the illusion that Scotland is somehow separate from the rest of the British mainland, she has mostly tracked Boris, with a two or three week delay.

By persuading her shell-suited Weegie constituents that they had to travel to/from Spain via Manchester or Newcastle or Birmingham instead of Embra or Glescae or Furryboots she gave away a lot of cash-spending revenue to English airports instead of Scottish ones. She also massively increased the risk of infection by doubling the number of ground-staff interactions and number of times travelers had to sit in one of those tubular aluminium Petrie dishes.

Then she eventually caught up with her de facto leader, Boris the Wonderclown. The she did her abrupt flip-flop thing in concert with her Wonderclown leader and reversed her reversal to stay in lockstep with the bumbling Buffoon.

Scotland imposed a quarantine on those arriving at Scottish airports from Spain in early July which was lifted on 25th July - only to be re-imposed when England introduced quarantine.

Anyone entering Scotland from these nations will, for the time being, be required to self-isolate for 14 days upon their return.

What a feeble stupid man. Trying to defend the UK Government's stance on quarantine and his boss's claim there are the signs of a second wave in Europe.

If they can't understand the statistics and how they were compiled, then put their own misguided and in some cases, untruthful twist on them, then it's time they stepped aside. They are simply lies to try to justify messures taken or proposed.

Only Boris and co have this signs of a second wave vision. They don't understand that if countries have increased testing then of course case numbers will go up. If the uk stepped up testing then a similar increase would occur there.

They are not listening to anyone other their own health advisors, who get dropped if they disagree with Boris's views.

Ibbie, actually UK did step up testing and, as you predicted, numbers went up.

What they need is more people like us without CV going and getting tested. That will prove numbers are going down

As it happens Mrs PN got the sniffles last week. We suspected as summer cold but isolated anyway, separate bedrooms etc. Daughter said go get tested, her husband in charge of a quarantine unit had just been done. She booked us in the Peterborough. 24 hours later we had the all clear. Now you can get tested as often as you want.

If anyone is interested I can describe the experience.

Stop knocking Boris ! It's completely wrong to claim that "only the UK Government has evidence of a second wave". Both the German and French governments have indicated the same view. Both countries have advised their citizens not to go to Spain. The Catalan government announced on Monday this week that the next ten days are critical to determining whether the country goes back to lockdown.

Just seen a photo of a testing centre in the Telegraph. It was nothing like our experience in Peterborough.

First there was two cars together - we were one car to a bay.
Both cars had windows open - we had to keep windows shut at all times except to receive the kit and then drop off the kit.
The test was being conducted by a woman in NHS style uniform and PPE - our test was strictly DIY, staff had Yellow tabards and masks.

How can they have completely different procedures?

I was in a shop in town this afternoon when the store manager approached a female (I won't say 'lady') who wasn't wearing a face mask. The store manager very diplomatically pointed out to the 'lady' that she should be wearing a mask unless there was a specific reason for not doing so. Talk about getting the full Greta "How dare you" Thunberg treatment - the 'lady' went into a full-on rant about "Who says so? Why should I? etc, etc". There really are some total f***wits in this world.
