what steps are YOU UK electors going to take
More importantly, in view of your 'output', what steps are you telling us to take?

Boris’s defence, where do you start :-B
Remember -Johnson did not intentionally or knowingly mislead his readers when he was sacked for lying as a journalist,never intentionally or knowingly misled his wives and families when he betrayed them and has never ever made a promise that he knew would not be kept.

Once upon a time there was a country which was held up as a shining beacon of democracy in action and which inspired other counties to attempt to emulate "the mother of parliaments";

https://guernseydonkey.com/the-british- ... rliaments/

Then that country started the long tragic slide into the status of a banana republic until now in the 21st Century we see this spectacle on our screens;

https://rumble.com/v2ebtyo-uk-parliamen ... vents.html

But despite this dubious behaviour there is no word of the Speaker of the House nor any other flunkies and lackeys starting a witch hunt for the perpetrator of this strange behaviour?

But of course the MP addressing the House was previously rapidly condemned and ostracised by his party for speaking out of turn and not IAW SOPs of the "narrative".

What can possibly have gone so awry with that place which has sunk so low in our estimation? :-?

"The cult of Boris Johnson is finally ending amongst the Tories". I wonder. People dim enough to vote for Liz Truss will believe anything. Or not.

I am at a complete loss to understand why ANY member of parliament needs a video sharing app on their WORK phone? Is it so that Conservative MPs can watch videos about tractors during debates?

The same really goes for ALL social media apps, all of which will be harvesting personal data even if not 'owned' by the Chinese government. To add to which why is anyone in government allowed to communicate with others using app such as WhatsApp? All 'official' communication should surely be via a government controlled system. That, is it not, is what everyone screamed at Hilary Clinton about. What is different now?

Our MPs are a bunch of hypocritical, arrogant twerps who think they are above acting responsibly. It's the culmination of many years of falling standards of behaviour in the Palace of Westminster by members of all parties - short of a revolution and extensive use of piano wire and lamp-posts, things ain't going to change.

The essential problem, in all western democracies, is that politicians live their lives with minimal contact with the general public. They certainly don't have the same troubles and concerns of the general public. And, whether or not they dislike the public, their behaviour becomes self-referential. This is exacerbated by media portrayals by journalists who also only move in the same circles. I've seen it myself with local politicians here. It takes less than two years for a previously 'normal' person who becomes a politician to adopt the language, habits, and standards of the rest of the political animals. Of particular concern is that they become reluctant to disturb the status quo, especially since it provides them with a much more comfortable life than their previous jobs did. We saw this with Covid. Firstly, the initial reaction was, for far too long, to do nothing. Then came drastic actions legally enforced on everyone but themselves.
What is particularly concerning is that the fundamental cause of both the succession of crises, and their failure to deal with them, is the system itself. They are both incapable of changing it, and have no desire to either. It's everyone's fault, or reality's fault, but never theirs.

The (forthcoming) decision to move asylum seekers out of hotels and onto military bases leaves me wondering how the costs stack up. Presumably there will have to be facilities at the new sites, with staff recruited accordingly, and, I guess, beds, chairs, electrics, catering equipment, some sort of shop and heaven knows whatever else moved into the sites. I guess it can all be buried in a military budget............ so we will never know the 'savings'.

Good one!

But they just swim off the French beaches and the Andrew gives them a lift the rest of the way, isn't it?

This is no laughing matter
