But that is now over so the people could actually fight to make their country into the place it should be.
Have you any idea of how stupid you sound?
It will only sound stupid to those whose only answer is to cast the blame for all woes on the West and allow whole countries to forever play the victim card.

I know you have expert knowledge of Afghanistan which makes your post not only stupid but also very dishonest.

The UK is set to offer a team of 30 troops from the Special Reconnaissance Regiment (SRR) to help French police. The elite soldiers may even use disguises to penetrate the criminal gangs.

John Hill; I have noticed over the pages of this particular thread that you are only too eager to

(a) crtiticise the actions of Governments long past
(b) criticise the views of other posters, and
(c) sometimes abuse these other posters for their views, but you never seem to offer any solutions.

I for one, would really appreciate it if you could inform us just what you would do, or recommend that current Governments of the Countries that you seem to hold responsible for these problems, should do.

Please elucidate.

The obvious answer which you are all carefully avoiding is that countries of the rich west, UK and USA for example, should rebuild the broken countries where these migrants are coming from.

Why? Somali and Sudan are of no concern of ours, they created their own environment not us.
As for Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq and other war zones, the aggression of their own leaders started their problems, any help, money or practical assistance will be abused, stolen or objected to by their current leaders.

Any person entering the UK illegally without passports, visas or permission should be arrested, charged with illegal entry and placed in custody. If they don't care to divulge their country of origin they should remain in custody until they do. Russia doesn't have these problems because Mr Putin does not fool around, nor should we.

Surely you don't think that Kim John Hill believes all of the rubbish he writes. Isn't he just just trying to get his kicks because he thinks he is winding people up!!

Somaliland, just what was Britain doing 1896- 1956?

Sudan, what was Britain doing 1885-1960?

Britain did it's fair share of meddling in Libya https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libya%E2% ... _relations.

Afghanistan, what aggression?

Iraq, what was Britain doing 1920 - 1961?

That does not solve any 'problem' it just shifts it elsewhere.

It's the enormous scale of criminal mass migration which is 'shifting the problem elsewhere'.

Sure, we have comprehensively **** up some countries like Iraq, Libya, Syria and Afghanistan and have lucratively helped in the destruction of Yemen too. That doesn't mean that we can import the worst of the dross of those countries and provide a welfare state for them all.

Sub-Saharan Africa is suffering from increasing desertification, partly due to our profligate burning of fossil fuels screwing up the climate. The answer to that is to stop burning fossil fuels unnecessarily. That's how to stop the problem at source.

Doing the Strine thing of sending the buggers back where they belong is the short-term solution. Weaning ourselves off the silly habit of buggering up the globe's climate is a long-term thing. We need to do both, not piss about with some kind of either/or Hobson's Choice.

I will never understand why we colluded with the Septics in destroying the liberal government of Afghanistan in the late 70s and early 80s.

I don't understand why we are helping the Saudis to the extent that we are in their near-genocidal war against the Yemeni people.

I don't understand why we destroyed the democratic government of Libya. That country, before we **** it up, had the finest and most comprehensive NHS in Africa. They had full education, for free, at all levels from nursery to post-Grad. We just couldn't get over the fact that the people of Libya rebelled against our puppet muppet King Idris and that they threw the Septics out of the biggest military airbase on the Continent. The Septics can't get over the fact that The Empire's Africa Command is located in a USAF airbase in occupied West Germany. Our extreme malice towards Libya and her people is nothing other than toxic malice.

Libya's democracy was anathema to John Bull and Uncle Sam. That's why it had to be destroyed.

News to me that Afghanistan was a British colony. Or even occupied by British after the 1800's.

Having attended a lecture by Sandy Gaul I was obviously misunderstanding the situation. I didn't realise the Soviet Peacemaking forces were maintaining a democratic Liberal government.

Pinky. Can I ask you to tell us when John 'the museum' Hill's alter ego, 'Hill Kim Yohn' has given any sort of solution.

" Libya's democracy was anathema to John Bull and Uncle Sam. That's why it had to be destroyed."

Was not a goodly part of the reason to destroy Gaddaffi was because he wanted for oil to be paid for with gold, rather than fiat American paper dollars?

You have been reading the wrong history books.

Did anyone say Britain has occupied Afghanistan? Perhaps Camp Bastion rings a bell.
